PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the same kind of chairs to stack by forming an outwardly curved surface along each of the front side of the front legs and the back side of the back legs of the chair and an inwardly curved surface along each of the back side of the front legs and the front side of the back legs so that the inwardly curved surface of the chair above can fit into the outwardly curved surfaces of the chair below. SOLUTION: Two similar chairs 1 can be stacked one on another by the following arrangements. Each of the legs 4 and 5 of the chair 1 has the same sectional outline with an outwardly curved surface 13 in the front and an inwardly curved surface 14 in the back. When the two chairs are stacked one on the other, the outwardly curved surfaces of the legs of the chair below neatly fit into the inwardly curved surfaces of the legs of the chair above. This neat fitting occurs in a stack of chairs and each single chair placed on another among the stacked chairs can stably position itself on another. This positioning is caused by the arrangement that an outwardly curved surface 13 and an inwardly curved surface 14 fit into each other to one direction along the length of a leg on one side and to the opposite direction on the opposite side.
