| PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body supporting utensil for a bed wherein the operation is made simpler, the attaching/detaching to/from the bed is facilitated, and a positional adjustment after being fitted on the bed can be easily, quickly and surely performed. SOLUTION: This body supporting utensil for a bed is equipped with a guide rail 3, a slide housing 6, a rotary strut 11, and a contact plate 19. In this case, the guide rail 3 is detachably fixed to the frame body 1 of the bed. The slide housing 6 is guided by the guide rail 3. The contact plate 19 advances/retracts along the guide rail 3 together with the slide housing 6, and supports the body of a person who is lying on the bed by coming into contact with the body. When an operation handle 14 is turned to a set direction at a set angle, the slide housing 6 is switched from a state wherein the movement is allowed to a state wherein the movement is stopped. When the operation handle 14 is turned to the opposite direction from the set direction at the set angle, the slide housing 6 is switched from the state wherein the movement is stopped to the state wherein the movement is allowed. | ||||||

| PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earthquake-proof bedding which gives only small influence on a bed and can effectively protect a bed or a person sleeping on it from matters falling down thereonto. SOLUTION: This earthquake-proof bedding is equipped with a base frame 13 with arch guide tubes 15. An arch shape support rod 16 is contractably extended from each guide tube 15. Support rods 16 are connected by a longitudinal rod 17 to form a protective frame 18. Two protective frames 18 and 18a are raised from a guide tube 15 so as to close above the bed 10 from opposite sides. Since the base frame 13 is placed almost under the bed 10 thereby, a protective device 22 requires only a small space and it provides high safety and support safety. The anchor can include a support member and an insert extending from the support member such that the upper surface of the insert comes into contact with a mattress and the lower surface of the insert comes into contact with a bed-base. The insert can be positioned underneath the mattress and on top of the bed-base. In this manner, the apparatus can hold the person in the same position on the bed allowing them to remain upright while sleeping or resting. | ||||||
