143 Agricultural System For Field Preparation US14975852 2015-12-20 US20160100520A1 2016-04-14 Joseph D. Bassett
An agricultural system includes a tow bar, a first row-cleaning device, and a second row-cleaning device. The first row-cleaning device is attached to the tow bar via a first frame and includes a first roller device in a trailing position relative to a first furrow-opener disk and configured to crush standing residual plant matter along a first path on a field. The second row-cleaning device is attached to the tow bar via a second frame and includes a second roller device in a trailing position relative to a second furrow-opener disk and configured to crush standing residual plant matter along a second path on the field. The second roller device is offset longitudinally from the first roller device.
144 Agricultural System For Field Preparation US14172905 2014-02-05 US20150216104A1 2015-08-06 Joseph D. Bassett
An agricultural system includes a tow bar for attachment to a towing vehicle in a trailing position relative to a direction of movement along a field. The system includes a plurality of row-cleaning devices attached in parallel strip positions along the tow bar. Each row-cleaning device has a rigid frame, a leading coulter, one or more furrow-opener disks, and a pivotable row-cleaning linkage. The disks have a leading edge adjacent to a trailing edge of the coulter. The row-cleaning linkage is attached to the rigid frame, with the coulter and disks being coupled to the rigid frame via the row-cleaning linkage. The system further includes a roller device between two adjacent parallel strip positions and attached at each end to a respective rigid frame via a respective pivotable roller linkage. The roller linkage is independently movable relative to the row-cleaning linkage.
145 FOLDING IMPLEMENT FOR THE PREPARATION OF SEED BEDS US14335755 2014-07-18 US20150020718A1 2015-01-22 Thomas E. Pitonyak
A folding implement that facilitates planting operations and optimization of irrigation and drainage with efficient preparation, configuration, and planting of seed beds. A centrally located fixed drum roller supports a pair of hinged outboard drum roller wings that for maximum implement width are deployed in alignment with the main section during operation. The wings are hydraulically folded into a compact upright position for legal transport over public roads. The implement is constructed so as to provide strength and durability comparable to single-section furrow rollers. The wings include double sets of crumbler baskets for the preparation of seed beds, where the crumbler baskets are moved along with the folding wings.
146 DRAWBAR APPARATUS OF AN AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT US13752465 2013-01-29 US20140209335A1 2014-07-31 ROBERT T. CASPER; BRYAN D. BLAUWET; RICHARD J. CONNELL; JEREMY D. KRANTZ; JOHN M. SCHWEITZER
A drawbar apparatus for coupling an earth-working tool to a frame of an agricultural implement. The drawbar apparatus comprises a drawbar. The drawbar comprises a first portion coupled to the frame and a second portion. A joint comprises a first bracket comprising a protrusion. The protrusion defines a first aperture. The first bracket is coupled to one of the second portion of the drawbar and the earth-working tool. A second bracket defines a channel configured to receive the protrusion. The channel defines a second aperture on a first side of the channel and a third aperture on a second side of the channel. The second bracket is coupled to the other of the second portion of the drawbar and the earth-working tool. A fastener is positioned through the first aperture, the second aperture, and the third aperture. The protrusion is configured to move laterally in the channel.
147 Soil conditioning device US11176569 2005-07-07 US20070007022A1 2007-01-11 Keith Ward
A soil conditioning device having a series of peripheral ridge members having a leading and trailing prow shaped surface circumscribing a disc, wheel or drum and a method of use. Optionally the prow shaped peripheral ridge members are joined by sub-ridge members forming a single ridge of varying heights circumscribing the disc, wheel or drum.
148 Land management apparatus for creating irrigation pools US256757 1994-08-29 US5628372A 1997-05-13 Charles H. Creyke
The invention concerns an apparatus which is both land and roadworthy and which is for use in land management. The apparatus comprises wheel or drum members on which it travels which members are provided with friction free or self-cleaning ridges which when travelling over land provide an impression of a kind which safeguards against soil erosion and improves land irrigation.
149 Foldable implement carrier US481271 1990-02-20 US5024279A 1991-06-18 Steven D. Warner; John F. Stufflebeam
A foldable implement carrier is disclosed including a central support bar supporting two pivotally connected tool bar sections which are movable from a laterally extended position to a folded position to reduce the width of the foldable implement carrier for transport. The tool bar sections have pivot columns which are rotationally received within a H-shaped frame member. A main wheel set is privotally connected to a frame, which includes the H-shaped member and the central support member, and is driven vertically downwardly to raise the frame off of the ground. The first and second tool bar sections are driven to pivot within the H-shaped frame member and move from the extended position to the folded position. Each tool bar section includes a latch and a wheel to secure the tool bar section to the central support bar. When folded, the latches are received upon the top of the central support bar and the wheels are retracted and abut a lower portion of the central support bar. The tool section can also flex with respect to the frame when traveling over uneven terrain.
150 Compaction and support apparatus US421878 1982-09-23 US4519460A 1985-05-28 Jacob N. Gust
A compaction and support apparatus for packing the ground immediately after tillage includes a frame and a wheel support gang movably mounted adjacent a rearward end of the frame. A plurality of tillers are supported in spaced relation from the frame, and a plurality of compaction and support wheels are rotatably mounted on the wheel support gang. Adjacent wheels are staggered longitudinally to track spaced apart substantially parallel paths on the ground. The path of each wheel is aligned behind one of the tillers mounted on the frame and the wheel is mounted on the wheel support gang so that the wheel substantially follows the contour of the ground while supporting the frame for transport and operation. The frame height is adjustable relative to the wheel support gang for controlling the extent of tiller penetration into the ground.
151 Soil cultivating implements US692784 1976-06-04 US4088195A 1978-05-09 Cornelis van der Lely
A cultivator has a row of soil working members journalled in an elongated frame portion. The frame portion is supported on side-by-side elongated elements that extend generally parallel to the direction of travel. The elements are preferrably curved and can be arranged in a forward group attached at the front of frame portion and a rear group of different-shaped elements that are interconnected to the frame portion to bear on the ground at the rear of the soil working members. The rear group can be fastened to a central carrier and curved to form a supporting roller. The elements can be inherently resilient and/or interconnected with spring mechanisms so that the soil working members respond to ground undulations.
