PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid crowding articles at the lower end of an outlet path for preventing the articles from being damaged, by mounting at least two outlet path parts on the outlet path longitudinally and forming the respective outlet path parts so as to have different adhesion characteristic and a top surfaces formed at different angles to a horizontal surface. SOLUTION: At least two outlet path parts 14 and 15 or 15 and 16 are longitudinally mounted on an outlet path 11 conveying a baggage 51 from an inlet part 12 to an outlet part 13. The respective outlet path parts 14-16 are formed so as to have different adhesion properties and top surfaces formed at the different angles W1-W3 to a horizontal surface. For example, a first and third outlet path parts 14, 16 are formed as roller conveyors and a second outlet path part 15 is formed as a chute. The roller conveyor 14 is formed out of a plurality of rollers whose surfaces have each different self-adhesivity. CONSTITUTION:When a small piston rod 7 acting as a stopper is located at a lower position where a transported article 12 on a conveyer 11 is not kept from advancing, since a hole 10 of an air hole 9 mounted on a small cylinder 6 is positioned in a main cylinder 1, a pressure fluid fed into the main cylinder 1 from an inlet 3 passes from the hole 10 through the air hole 9 and goes into the small cylinder 6 to keep a buffer piston 8 at a position for advancing. When in such a condition, a pressure fluid is transmitted from a lower inlet 4 into the main cylinder 1 to raise a main piston 2, the article transported 12 strikes on the small piston rod 7, and the buffer piston 8 retires, compressing the pressure fluid of the small cylinder 6, whereby the article transported 12 is stopped, with a shock absorbed.

PURPOSE:To increase the accuracy and stability in stopping position of a pallet by arranging the line of rollers which is movable up and down, inside of the conveyor frame to support the pallet so that a projection on the frame can be engaged with a concave on the pallet when the rollers are lowered by means of the clamp of the pallet. CONSTITUTION:When a pallet 3 transferred by brush belts 4 comes onto the line of movable rollers 2b, it is stopped by a stopper not shown. Then the pallet 3 is pressed down and clamped by a clamping device 13, simultaneously the line of movable rollers 2b is lowered down engaging a concave 15 on the lower surface of the pallet 3 with a projection 14 on the frame 6, fixing the pallet 3. If the clamping device 13 is released, the line of movable rollers 2b goes upward by the aid of an elastic part 12 allowing the pallet 3 to be transferred. This configuration is capable of not only making the pallet light and easy to handle but also allowing the pallet stop action to be accurate and stable.

PURPOSE:To prevent a handling device from its inadvertent motion as well as to make smooth and accurate transfer operations performable, by installing a restaint mechanism, which restains the handling device and holds it at a regular position, just before the transfer device installed in a conveying car body releases its engagement to the handling device. CONSTITUTION:An illustration shows a state that a conveying car body 11 stops at the side of a load receiving table A, and a transfer device 14 goes forward as far as a stroke S together with a handling device N as one body. When the transfer device 14 goes down from this state, engagement between each of engaging bodies 16, 17 and each of engaging parts 18, 19 is set free, thereupon synchronizing with this, an electromagnet 14 serving as a restraint mechanism set up at both sides of the tranfer device 14 is excited, and when this magnet 15 is made to go up, the magnet 15 is attracted to a magnetic plate 21 of the handling device N, restraining the handling device N just before each of these engaging bodies 16 and 17 comes off these engaging parts 18 and 19. Therefore, engagement between these engaging bodies 16, 17 and engaging parts 18, 19 is released free so that even after the handling device N is released from the transfer device 14, the handling device N is accurately holdable at a regular position.

CONSTITUTION:At the time of braking an object W of conveyance conveyed on a gravity roller conveyor 30 in the direction of an arrow, a hydraulic cylinder 70 is operated to put arms 51a, 51b in counterclockwise rotation with pins 52 used as fulcrums. Due to this rotation, a press-fixing plate makes a circular arc movement to press and fix the click 59 of a brake disc 60 to gravity rollers 31, and braking force is applied to said rollers 31. Then the object W of conveyance is stopped when it reaches this position. However, its self-traveling is resumed by contraction of the hydraulic cylinder 70. Accordingly, stopping and starting can be performed simply and efficiently.

In this constitution, the control circuit unshown in the figure drives a motor 10 and a cylinder 15 by means of a detecting signal for existence of a pallet 8 for the next process and a foot switch signal, and performs the feed and braking action on the pallet 8. The speed can be optionally selected by means of diametral selection of wheels 12, 14 and the roller 6, and any noise, braking impact can be prevented.

The device accepts any combination of rotated and non-rotated articles and can rotate them through angles up to and through 360 degrees. One embodiment of the disclosed device uses only one single-speed drive motor and pneumatic components to operate two conveyor roller sections. While one conveyor roller section maintains a constant speed, the conveyor rollers of the second conveyor roller section are sequentially braked and unbraked to rotate an article that is positioned partially on the first conveyor roller section and partially on the second conveyor roller section. The difference in speeds between the two conveyor sections rotates the article.
