This invention relates to a wig having a shape retaining member for preventing curving-up and distortion of a wig base. This shape retaining member (12) is made of a shape memory alloy having a transformation temperature (Af point) higher than the temperature of an ambient between the surface of the head of the user of the wig and the wig base when the wig (10) is fitted to the head, and is disposed at a predetermined position on the inner or outer surface of the wig base (11). When the shape retaining member gets corrugated in the course of use, it is heated to a temperature higher than the transformation temperature so that it regains the shape that is stored in advance. Therefore, the wig can be repeatedly fitted as if it were a new one.

Other ends of first to third adjusting belts are coupled at one position in a trifurcate shape, thereby forming an adjusting mechanism. The wig base having this configuration can be adjusted finely so as to make the wig base fit a wearer's head with using a pull from three directions by the three adjusting belts.

A hair piece (1) is disclosed comprising a base member (2) provided with strands of natural and/or artificial hair (3). The base member (2) has such a shape that the base member is close-fittingly wearable on the back and sides of a head (10) of a human being. The top of the head remains largely uncovered. The parts of the base member which are situated on either side of the head bound on an uncovered area (11) of the top of the head (10). These parts are connected to each other by means of a narrow connection (4).

The size of the hair piece is selected such that the connection (4) is situated completely behind the hair line (12) on the front of the head in an area of the top of the head covered by natural hair, where the connection (4) itself has no hair or hardly any hair.

An apparatus for fixing a wig to head of a user, including a flexible plane sheet including a first opening and a second opening, a plurality of monofilaments each including a swollen head and protrusively provided on a first side of the flexible plane sheet, a first adhesive layer provided so as to cover the monofilaments, a net member provided on a second side of the flexible plane sheet, and a second adhesive layer provided on the net member of a first half area, the flexible plane sheet being divided into the first half area and a second half area by a line bisecting the flexible plane sheet is provided. The first opening is provided on the line bisecting the flexible plane sheet while having a thin and long shape so that a part of natural hair of the user passes through the first opening, and the second opening is provided at a predetermined position on the second half area so that other part of the natural hair of the user passes through the second opening.

The present invention is to provide a moisture-permeable material for wigs superior in moisture permeability, helping to suppress sweatiness when worn, and allowing easy attachment. A moisture-permeable material for wigs formed in a three-layer structure, including: a core material made of a porous polyurethane; a net layer provided on a side of the core material to be brought into contact with a head and formed of synthetic fibers or natural fibers; and a fiber layer which is laminated on the other side of the core material, which is formed of the synthetic fibers or the natural fibers, and in which artificial hairs or natural hairs are to be planted.

In a wig, a wig base (111) is made of an artificial skin and/or a net. A plurality of hairs (112) are planted to an outer convex surface of the wig base. The hairs are inconspicuous in color with respect to the wig base, at root areas of the hairs which are planted to the wig base. Thus, knots of the hairs planted to the wig base are inconspicuous so that there is provided a natural hairline.
