7 Neutralization apparatus and printer having neutralization apparatus EP10155618.1 2010-03-05 EP2251289A3 2011-08-31 Nishimura, Takanobu; Asari, Yukio

The invention provides a neutralization apparatus which simplifies an apparatus composition, lowers an apparatus cost and removes electrical charge effectively from a ribbon-like substance which is charged by stripping, and provides a printer (10) having the neutralization apparatus. The neutralization apparatus neutralizes an ink ribbon (12). The neutralization apparatus has a conductive roller (34) which is arranged so as to contact the surface of the ink ribbon (14) and a neutralization brush (32) which counters the back of the ink ribbon (14). A balance of the electrical charge of the surface and the electrical charge of the back of the ink ribbon (14) is broken by electrical discharge caused by the conductive roller (34). And thereby, the charged voltage of the electrical charge of the back of the ink ribbon becomes large and the neutralization brush remove the electrical charge charged to the back of the ink ribbon (14) effectively.

16 Image forming apparatus JP11302995 1995-05-11 JPH08300701A 1996-11-19 IWAO NAOTO
PURPOSE: To provide an image forming apparatus provided with an ink feeding means by which the ink carried by ink medium can be completely used without any uselessness. CONSTITUTION: An ink medium 10, a halogen heater 20 for heating preliminarily the ink medium 10 and a thermal head 40 for heating the ink medium 10 and transferring a thermally sublimating ink onto a recording medium 30 are provided. In addition, the ink medium 10 consists of an ink carrying body 12 consisting of a resin in which the thermally sublimating ink is dispersed, formed on the outer periphery of a cylindrical shaft 11 at least on the surface of which a heat-resistant resin layer such as a polyimide is formed and an ink holding body 13 formed on the outer periphery so as to be laminated thereon and for holding temporally the thermally sublimating ink sublimated by preliminary heating by means of the halogen heater 20. PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of a failure to feed an ink ribbon into a ribbon case even under a low-temperature environment and to enhance ribbon containing properties of the ribbon case. CONSTITUTION:A large number of groove parts 5 are provided on surfaces of a pair of feed rollers 2, 3 for feeding an ink ribbon 1 into a ribbon case 4 so that the grooves 5 opposed to each other cannot engage with each other. In addition, in the running path of the ink ribbon 1, a heating means 6 for warming the ink ribbon 1 is provided for preventing the reduction of the lead-in force of the pair feed rollers 2, 3 with respect to the ink ribbon 1.

PURPOSE:To provide a high speed and high quality thermal transfer recording apparatus without choice in the surface configuration of a receiving article, by providing a recording head for selectively heating a thermal transfer medium and a transfer/fixing means for transferring heat-meltable ink in a non- supercooling state. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer film 3 delivered from a film supply roller 4 and contacted with a recording electrode at the edge part of a current supply recording head 7 is constituted so that the substrate layer thereof has ductility and, therefore, the selected part of an ink layer is melted under heating perfectly independent of the surface state of receiving paper 1. Thereafter, ink is pressurized by a transfer/fixing means 8 to be transferred to the receiving paper 1. When ultrasonic energy generated by the ultrasonic oscillator 84 in the transfer/fixing means 8 reaches the heat-meltable ink layer, the ink transfers from an supercooling state to a non-supercooling state and, therefore, said ink is strongly fixed. Further, because all stored energy is emitted and the ink layer is reheated to be lowered in its viscosity and the receiving paper 1 is heated, transfer efficiency is more enhanced.
19 Printing apparatus JP23670285 1985-10-23 JPS6295254A 1987-05-01 AOKI KENJI; NAKAMURA HARUO; NISHIWAKI MANABU
PURPOSE:To provide a high speed and high quality thermal transfer recording apparatus without choice in the surface configuration of a receiving article, by providing a heating means for selectively heating a thermal transfer medium and a transfer means consisting of an elastomer and a rotary support permitting the rotation of said elastomer. CONSTITUTION:Because a current supply thermal transfer film 3 delivered from a film supply roller 4 and contacted with a recording electrode at the edge part of a current supply recording head 7 is constituted so that the substrate layer thereof has ductility, the supply of a current can be well performed between the recording electrode and a resistance layer and the selected part of an ink layer is melted under heating perfectly independent of the surface state of receiving paper 1. Thereafter, ink is transferred under pressure by a transfer means 8. This transfer means 8 is constituted of an elastomer 81, a support substrate 82 for supporting and pressurizing the elastomer 81 and a rotary support 83 and has water pillow effect and, therefore, even if the receiving paper 1 having a rough smoothness is used, transfer pressure can be uniformly applied.
20 Thermal printer JP18110685 1985-08-20 JPS6241059A 1987-02-23 UENO HIROSHI; ASADA OSAMU
PURPOSE:To perform satisfactory transfer and recording onto ordinary paper with poor smoothness by thermally transferring and recording a heat-melting ink pattern of a positive image on the base film of an ink carrier onto paper to be transferred with a heating means and removing the heat-melting ink pattern of a negative image using a cleaning means. CONSTITUTION:Heat-melting ink on an ink ribbon 11 is melted by a thermal head 17 and transferred onto a platen roller 14 and an ink pattern of a positive image 16 which has a mirror image relationship with a recorded image is formed. The ink ribbon 11 has its positive image forming surface fitted to paper to be transferred 20 at a position where said ribbon 11 is pressed and held between a heater 18 and a platen roller 21. The ink pattern of a positive image on the base film of an ink ribbon 11 is melted an transferred, recorded on the paper 20 as an image corresponding to an original recorded image. Further, the ink pattern of a negative image 15 transferred onto the platen roller 14 is removed and cleaned by a cleaner 19.
