An imaging system including a one-piece aluminum internal drum casting having reduced weight and increased stiffness. The internal drum is mounted to the frame structure of the imaging system using a plurality of mounts positioned in a plane substantially along the center of gravity of the internal drum. The mounts reduce the amount of sway of the internal drum within the frame structure.
5 Synchronized traveling carriage assembly US874385 1978-02-02 US4201423A 1980-05-06 Magnus F. Hagen; Donald Stanley
A synchronized traveling carriage assembly comprising at least one slide mechanism held by a end-support cap having alignment pins to firmly hold it in a rigid position. The outer side of the support cap includes support pins so as to be readily acceptable in a cooperating installation. A carriage plate is affixed to the moving slide member whereby various devices may be mounted thereto. The slide comprises an outer slide member which is removably connected to the alignment pin of the support cap, an inner slide member, and a ball-retainer member disposed therebetween having at least two flat strips of friction material coacting with at least one intermediate member formed by an endless belt of friction material--the flat strips being affixed to respective inner and outer slide members and the endless belt being movably mounted to the ball-retainer member for engagement with the flat strips.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce oscillation of inner drum significantly by fixing the inner drum to a frame structure using a plurality of fixing bases arranged on a plane extending substantially along the center of gravity of the inner drum. SOLUTION: Upper structure 88 of an inner drum 80 is provided with a pair of transverse members 100 supporting a rail system 102 for supporting and guiding a movable optical carriage 104 and a scanning system 106 fixed thereto along the length of the inner drum 80. A plurality of fixing bases 82 are provided substantially along the center of gravity of the inner drum 80 and a vibration proof unit 112 is disposed between the fixing bases 82 and each leg 110 of a frame assembly 84. The inner drum 80 is fixed to the frame assembly 84 through the vibration proof unit 112 thus reducing oscillation of the inner drum 80 significantly.
7 Display system of monitor in phototypesetter JP8142683 1983-05-10 JPS59207241A 1984-11-24 MURO KOUJI
PURPOSE:To obtain the titled system, through which the conditions of present printing and the positional relationship of a printing area, a sensitized material area, a printing present position on a sensitized material, etc. are confirmed easily, by forming a window displaying these areas and position, etc. on the picture of a CRT. CONSTITUTION:The displaying picture of a CRT1 is constituted by a printing character displaying section (f) and a comment displaying section (g), and a printing area (a), a sensitized material setting area (b) and a CRT displaying area (d) are each displayed to a window W in one part of the comment displaying section (g) with relative relation-ship. A present position (e) displaying a positioning at any position in the printing area (a) of a cursor (h) displayed on the displaying section (f) is also displayed.
8 Apparatus for collecting residual materials dispersed during imaging of flexographic printing plates EP00307903.5 2000-09-13 EP1084831A2 2001-03-21 Eshed, David; Kamir, Yosef; Pilossof, Nissim

There is disclosed an apparatus for collecting residual material from a flexographic printing member on a Computer-To-Plate (CTP) system, that comprises a nozzle body, a nozzle tip attached to an end of the nozzle body, an adjusting mechanism for adjusting the nozzle tip in proximity with a printing member on the CTP system, an exhaust blower and a conduit for communication with an end of the nozzle body and the exhaust blower.

An imaging system (10) including a one-piece aluminium internal drum casting (80) having reduced weight and increased stiffness. The internal drum (80) is mounted to the frame structure (84) of the imaging system using a plurality of mounts (82) positioned in a plane (114) substantially along the centre of gravity of the internal drum (80). The mounts reduce the amount of sway of the internal drum within the frame structure.

This invention is concerned with the monitor-displaying method which represents the relation of the position between the printed letter and the sensing figures on the CRT. The selecting characters and signs are designated on the CRT which has the screen smaller than the sensing size. In monitor displaying methodes, a printed region which designates a printing possible region, (a) is standardized to represent all of the regions the CRT's comment sections is comsisted of a printing region(a), a sensing region(b). CRT's displaying region(d), a present location.
