115 Intermediate toner transmission member having joint arranged shiftingly JP20009498 1998-07-15 JPH1173033A 1999-03-16 EDWARD L SCHRATER JR; MAMMINO JOSEPH; GERALD M FLETCHER; SYPULA DONALD S; JAMES F SMITH; FRANCIS C MACDOWELL
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a perfect color image having the improved mechanical strength and an electric characteristic and with excellent color fidelity by arranging a joint of a bottom layer in a shifted manner from a joint of an upper layer. SOLUTION: An intermediate transmission member 110 comprises a joined upper layer 3 and a joined bottom layer 5, the upper layer is preferably provided with only a single joint 9b, and the bottom layer is preferably provided with only a single joint 9b. A selective adhesive layer 6 is present between the bottom layer and the upper layer. Though the joints 9a, 9b can be adjacent to each other so that a part thereof is overlapped each other, the joints 9a, 9b are arranged in a shifted manner so that the shape of the joints is not correctly agreed with each other. The intermediate transmission member 110 is of uniform thickness along its longitudinal direction, and the transmission member 110 reduces the change to disturb the toner image while the transmission member is turned around, and increases the strength of the joints to improve the service life of the transmission member 110.
