PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality, such as durability, of expanded resin base body by using a dispersing agent containing a phase transition material which absorbs energy and keeps temperatures constant. SOLUTION: In the expanded resin base body 40, a dispersing agent 48 (coating agent) comprising microspheres containing a polymer binder and phase- transition material is dispersed in the thickness direction of the body 40. As the phase-transition material, for example, paraffin hydrocarbon is used. The microsphere may be in the form of microcapsule. As the body 40, skiving- processed polyurethane or expanded polyether resin is preferable. The dispersing agent comprising polymer binder and microsphere is applied to the top surface of cured expanded resin base material and the expanded resin base material 40 is then depressurized from its rear side to impregnate the dispersing agent into 20-100% of the material 40 in the thickness direction thereof and then the polymer binder is cured.

PURPOSE: To obtain an equilibrium composition of oxygen and carbon dioxide in an atmosphere surrounding a product by a method wherein a specific adhesive is selected and bubbles of open cell foamed adhesive are opened and closed until a proper permeability is obtained to constitute a packaging material. CONSTITUTION: An open cell foamed adhesive layer 12 comprises an ethylene- acrylic copolymer which contains about 6.5% of acrylic acid and has a melt index of about 2.0. And the thickness of the layer 12 is about 50% or less of the thickness of a liner material 10, and a foaming agent is so selected as to produce the layer 12 having an average net bubble area of 0.10-14.0 mm 2. A packaging material 20 is composed of the liner material 10 and a cardboard substrate 18. The liner material 10 provides a protective barrier against water and soil by means of a layer 16 of one or more kinds of homopolymer and copolymer of ethylene, styrene, and propylene and enables an equilibrium concentration of 2-8 vol.% of oxygen and 0-20 vol.% of carbon dioxide when a mature product is charged at refrigeration temperatures. PURPOSE: To avoid partial peeling and/or insufficient bonding of separate layers by a method wherein a part of a synthetic foam layer is saturated with a liquid comprising NCO-groups and the whole layers are compressed and steam is introduced at such a temp. and during a sufficient time that the liquid NCO- groups should react with steam. CONSTITUTION: A foam is saturated with a crude MDI diluted with trichloroethane and absorption of the mixture comprising NCO-groups with a flexible foam is adjusted so as to make the density to be 25 kg/m 3. Reinforcing layers 2 and 2' are bonded on both sides of the foam in shapes of glass sheets. Then, as a finishing layer, a polyethylene foil 3 is bonded on one of these reinforcing layers 2 and 2'. A polyester laminate film 4' is bonded as a finishing layer on the side provided for bonding on a car body structure, and at the same time, to facilitate operation of a final product, a glass fiber layer 2' is fixed. The whole layers are moved into a mold. After the mold is closed, the isocyanates are converted to a rigid polyurethane by feeding steam so as to leave an element with the same shape as that of the press after taken out of the mold.
