82 Apparatus and method for folding blank into a box US12587013 2009-09-30 US20110077138A1 2011-03-31 Joe Pagani
An apparatus facilitates folding of a blank to form a box. When the blank is pressed into the apparatus, corner panels of the blank are initially folded by folding surfaces of the apparatus so that the corner panels are disposed inside side panel surfaces of the blank, which are folded by other folding surfaces of the apparatus. The apparatus further includes folding surfaces for folding the side and end panels of the blank into a vertical position. A base panel of the blank, and the side panels, end panels and the corner panels which are attached to the base panel, are received in an interior aperture of the apparatus during folding of the blank to form the box.
83 PROCESS FOR CRAFTING PAPER AND RELATED KIT US11957699 2007-12-17 US20090151531A1 2009-06-18 Susan W. Levin; Patricia Ann Donham

87 Kit for making boxes and method for using US165375 1993-12-10 US5484373A 1996-01-16 Martin R. Carbone
A kit for making boxes from a paper card stock is described. The kit comprises a flat plate having a guide rail with a vertical edge projecting above the surface of the plate parallel to one edge of the plate. A scoring groove traverses the plate parallel to the vertical edge of the guide rail. One or more spacing strips, each having a vertical edge, may be placed between the vertical edge of the guide rail and the scoring groove to vary the depth of the box. The overall size or "footprint" of a box made in accordance with the invention is determined by the distance of the scoring groove from the nearest vertical edge and the size of the blank card stock employed. The card stock preferably comes in two sizes for each size box, one for the bottom and one for the top. The card stock used for the top is slightly larger than the stock used for the bottom so that the same spacers may be used for scoring folding lines for both the top and the bottom and, at the same time, providing a mating fit therebetween. The kit, which comprises the scoring plate, spacing strips and a scoring tool, may be used to fashion boxes in a variety of shapes as well as sizes.
88 Carton size modifier US184943 1988-04-22 US4825549A 1989-05-02 Harrison Huang
A carton size modifier comprising a tube, a supporting clamp installed on the tube and the structure for forming the hole line at the bottom end of the tube. The hole line forming structure comprised a rotating gear disk unit with a protection cover at its perimeter. The rotating gear disk unit is installed on the pipe seat having a handle. The top face of the pipe seat is cut at an angle to match with a pressing post having a complimentary angle at its lower end. One bolt threads the rotating gear disk unit, the pipe seat and pressing post, with its end fastened by a nut to avoid the fall-off of the pressing post. By puting the pressing post and the top end of the pipe seat into the tube. Then turning the bolt, the pressing post is pulled to make its outer wall supporting against the inner wall of the tube, thus its combination being completed.
89 Apparatus and method for producing a resealable container US768624 1985-08-23 US4659322A 1987-04-21 Leon L. Boudin; Harry F. Duff
A unique resealable container is described together with a method for converting a standard container of the type commonly used for packaging milk or other liquids into said container. An apparatus for carrying out this method is also described. The resealable container consists of a rectangular box having four flaps and a closing band for sealing the box. The closing band holds the flaps in their closed position. The container may be produced by making six cuts in a standard container of the type normally used to package milk or the like. The cuts are made with the apparatus of the present invention using an ordinary kitchen knife. The apparatus of the present invention supports the container during the cutting process and guides the knife to assure that the cuts are made in the correct locations.
