The improved bowling ball tool kit includes a tool having an elongated shaft with an expanded handle on one end and one of a number of bowling ball finger hole scrapers of differing diameters supplied by the kit. The scrapers are separately releasably attachable to the opposite end of the shaft of the tool. The scrapers are preferably formed of silicon carbide or another hard material which will readily ream, slice or abrade the plastic of a bowling ball to enlarge its finger holes. The kit also includes a connector, preferably in the form of a threaded connector bolt to releasably hold the scrapers in place by threading into the shaft end after passing through a central hole in the scraper. Each of the scrapers is frusto-conical disc and is mountable on the shaft end so that the sides of the disc taper down and away from the shaft. The tool and kit are simple, durable, small, portable, inexpensive and efficient to enlarge bowling ball finger holes so as to accommodate fingers with gradually increase in diameter as bowling is practiced. |

A coin roll opening device for opening a roll of coins safely, quickly and conveniently includes a horizontal body member coupled at substantially a right angle to a vertical body member extending downward from the horizontal body member. At least one of the horizontal and vertical body members defines a curved receiving surface for receiving a roll of coins. A blade is inserted in the curved receiving surface, and when a wrapped roll of coins is struck up against the blade and the curved receiving surface, the wrapper is pierced and easy access to the coins is gained. |

A package opening tool is useful for opening packages made of cellophane and other flexible plastic materials. The package opening tool comprises first and second plates pivotally connected at their respective back ends. The two plates are biased, as by a living hinge or a spring, to an open configuration whereat there is a V-shaped gap between the plates. The first plate has a cutter that faces the second plate. A package is inserted into the gap, and the tool is operated to a closed configuration by squeezing the front ends of the two plates together to cause the cutter to penetrate the package. A recess in the second plate receives the entire cutter when the tool is in the closed configuration. Then pulling the package from between the closed tool slices the package for easy further opening. The first plate preferably has a wall around the cutter to restrict access to the cutter. In some embodiments, positive stops limit the relative locations of the two plates in the open and closed configurations. |

An adjustable spiral slitter for hot dogs which includes a pair of generally semi-cylindrical or semi-circular members hingedly connected at one end and adjustably connected at the other end with the adjustably connected ends being separable to enable the semi-circular members to be pivoted between an open and closed position. One of the semi-circular members includes a serrated blade mounted therein with the serrated edge of the blade being oriented in an inclined relation to the center axis of the semi-circular members when they are in closed position. The semi-circular members, when in closed position, form an annular member with the blade edge generally parelling and spaced laterally from a diameter of the annular member extending between the pivotal connection and the adjustable connection between the two semi-circular members. The size of the interior of the annular member is adjustable by moving the adjustably connected ends to different adjusted positions to enable a hot dog having different circumferential sizes to be inserted through the slitter and rotated simultaneously with the serrated edge of the blade forming a spiral slit on surface of the hot dog. The hot dog can then be cooked in a pot, pan or grill with the slit enhancing the cooking operation, enhancing the flavor and appearance of the hot dog. |

The ribbon curling and shredding device of this invention utilizes an upper base member vertically slidably mounted on a lower base member by means of two pairs of posts which extend upwardly from one end of the lower base member and the central portion of the lower base member. These posts slidably extend through aligned apertures in the upper base member. Enlarged head portions on the post prevent the complete detachment of the two base members. Compression spring members embrace each of the posts to yieldably hold the two base members in spaced separation. A plurality of sharp needles extend downwardly from the lower side of the upper base member in the open space that exists between the two base members opposite the four posts. A pad member made of wood or the like appears in the upper surface of the lower base member immediately below the protruding needles. A ribbon curling means comprised of a projection on the upper surface of the upper base member and including an arcuate concave portion terminating in a pair of straight sides. |

An implement is provided for opening envelopes in which a ram is reciprocally mounted within a hollow sleeve. A transverse envelope receiving crevice or slot is defined at one end of the sleeve and the ram carries a blade which has a cutting edge directed toward the envelope receiving slot. A spring acts between the sleeve and the ram to urge the cutting edge of the blade away from the transverse slot so that the blade is not exposed unless the spring bias is overcome. |

A letter opener is disclosed for cutting off the edge of an envelope which has a deformable U-shaped body. A cutting blade is located in the upper wall of the body, and a hole positioned to receive the blade is located in the lower wall. An abutment attached to the lower wall serves both as a guiding surface for an envelope, and as a stopper to prevent the two walls from binding against the envelope when pressed together. The device is used by placing a corner of an envelope against the abutment, pressing the two walls together causing the blade to puncture the envelope, and drawing the device along the edge of the envelope to thereby slice off that edge of the envelope. |

A hand held tool for removing excess urethane sealant from the outer edges of an automotive windshield to facilitate simple replacement of the windshield. The tool generally has a handle, an elongated member with a longitudinal bore partially extending therethrough, and a removable and replaceable blade. The cutting portion of the blade is substantially U-shaped in cross-section with the exposed edges tapered and sharpened. The shape of the blade and its sharpened edges facilitate the cutting and removal of a channel within the urethane sealant in order to allow placement of a strip of plastic moulding which retains the windshield in place. |
