PURPOSE: Scissors having cemented carbide blades and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve the function of the scissors with the cemented carbide blades and reduce the weight of the scissors. CONSTITUTION: Cemented carbide plates(C) is welded to stainless steel plates(S) with a special welding method to form a base metal. A grip(20) having a shape corresponding to the base metal is abutted against the base metal with an abutting welding method to form a half-finished product of scissors. Half-finished scissors are cut to form the cemented carbide plate as a cutting surface of the scissors and the stainless steel plate as the back of the scissors, respectively. Two parts of the scissors are pivotally engaged to each other by a hinge.

The hand tool head is inserted into the insertion hole in the longitudinal direction.

The molded plastic member 2 is pressed by the handle 3 and is strongly intruded into the recess 4 within the columnar member 1. The plastic member 2 is hardly disengaged from the columnar member 1 in spite of repetitive use.

CONSTITUTION:A filler 11 made of a putty-like epoxy material which is kneaded in a string-like form, is laid on a cut surface 16, and is roughly made fit to the cut surface 16. Then, the top surface of the filler 11 is pressed to the associated surface of a pattern 14 positioned thereabove, and is left for a suitable time to harden the filler 11. Then, after the filler 11 is hardened, the pattern 11 is parted from the filler 11, and unnecessary parts 11a which are laterally protruded, are cut. The filler 11 is then polished to finish the filler 1 so that the latter has the same surface shape as that of the main body 10. Thereafter, molybdenum disulfide 12 is coated, as a covering material for the surface of the filler 11, and is dried to form a dry film, thereby the manufacturing of the tool is completed.
