Die Entnahmetiefe der Probe ist durch Einstellen der Frästiefe mittels des Anschlags (21 bzw. 23) genau definiert. Da der Innendurchmesser des Anschlags (21 bzw. 23) nur geringfügig größer ist als der Außendurchmesser des Fräsers (13) kann die Vorrichtung auch auf rauher bzw. grober Rinde sicher eingesetzt werden.
