21 | A PROTECTIVE METAL NETTING AND A MACHINE AND A METHOD FOR ITS MANUFACTURE | EP10771814.0 | 2010-09-10 | EP2475477B1 | 2018-09-05 | FERRAIOLO, Francesco |
A protective metal netting comprises a plurality of longitudinal metal wires or cables (10) side by side, each interwoven with at least one adjacent longitudinal wire or cable (10) in an interweave portion (24), in which at least one of the metal wires or cables (20) has an almost rectilinear development, or in any case with loops that are less pronounced than the lower-strength neighboring cables. A machine for manufacturing interwoven metal nettings comprises a cylindrical drum (50), on the outer surface of which a plurality of pins (52) protruding radially and arranged in axial rows at equal angular intervals is fixed, with an equal pitch in all the rows. Some pins (54) present on the cylindrical drum (50) are fitted out-of-alignment with respect to the above-mentioned pitch.

A device for twisting plastic wires to form a plastic open mesh net comprises a front twist mechanism and a back twist mechanism which have corresponding pairs of front and back thread-holes for receiving plastic wires to be twisted. Each couple of a front thread-hole and a back thread-hole is connected by a corresponding heat-conductive thread guide, preferably in the form of a pipe, which provides a uniform heating of the plastic wire which is guided therein. A machine for manufacturing a plastic open mesh net comprises a holding device downstream of the twisting device to maintain a uniform shape of the just formed open mesh net.
24 | COMPLEX-PATTERNED WIRE NET AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME | EP08741327.4 | 2008-04-14 | EP2178659A1 | 2010-04-28 | Lee, Dae Young |
Disclosed are a complex-patterned wire net, which is mainly used for fences, and a method for manufacturing the same. The complex-patterned wire net (A) includes first net holes (100) in an even number obtained in zigzag by repeatedly forming twisting parts (110, 120, 130) by stretching longitudinal wires from twisting parts (110, 120, 130), obtained by twisting two strands of wires, to the right and left and twisting the longitudinal wires with the neighboring longitudinal wires at an interval of extensions (140, 150, 160), such that upper and lower portions of the longitudinal wires divided by divisional transversal wires (170, 180) supplied during twisting are twisted in the opposite directions, and second net holes (200) in an even number obtained by repeatedly forming twisting parts (210) by repeatedly forming twisting parts (210) by stretching longitudinal wires from the lowermost twisting parts (130) of the first net holes (100) to the right and left and twisting the longitudinal wires with the neighboring longitudinal wires at an interval of extensions (160), such that portions of the longitudinal wires divided by each of plural compartmental transversal wires (220) are twisted in the opposite directions.

ABSTRACT A rotatable member (105) has an aperture (115) substantially aligned with an axis of rotation of the member and through which a first length of wire (2a) may extend. A recess (117) is provided in the member. An engagement surface (131) is associated with the recess. With a first length of wire (2a) extending through the aperture and a second length of wire (7) extending across and adjacent to the first length of wire, rotation of the rotatable member will cause the engagement surface (131) to engage with the second length of wire (7) and twist the second length of wire around the first length of wire (2a) to form a twisted wire joint at least substantially within the recess and which includes a plurality of full turns of the second length of wire around the first length of wire.

PURPOSE: To effectively perform twisting of linear materials with a simple mechanism, by installing a twisting machanism composed of a peculiar guide gear and a guide behind a net doubling and twisting mechanism. CONSTITUTION: Half gears 4 and 6 are rotated for several rounds by the movement of rack frames 7 and 8, and linear materials 12 and 13 are doubled and twisted to form a side X. Another side Y is formed in such a way where the gears 4 and 6 are separated from each other and delivered by movements of metal rails 9 and 10. At this time, the linear material 13 is guided by the rotation of a guide gear 16 and rotates in the same direction and at the same cycle as the gears 4 and 6. When the rails 9 and 10 are moved laterally, the gear 16 does not rotate and the linear material 13 is replaced to the adjacent guide gear by a guide 15. When a net doubling and twisting mechanism works in the opposite direction, the linear material is replaced to the original gear 16 and sides X' and Y' are formed. On the other hand, since the linear material 12 from a feeding bobbin 20 is fed directly to a pass hole 3 of the gear 4 from the inner side of the gear 16, the linear material 12 is fed smooth- ly because only a little torsion is applied on the linear material 12 itself.
