PURPOSE: To reduce the feeling of fatigue by mitigating the impact of the weight of a golf bag added to a shoulder at the time of walking or traveling with the bag shouldered by attaching an extendable/contractable shock absorbing body to the suitable place of the main body of a golf bag shoulder belt. CONSTITUTION: A shoulder belt A fitted to a golf bag (b) is made up of a main body 1; fitting portions 2, 3; and a shock absorbing body 4. The main body 1 is formed into a belt shape, and the fitting portions 2, 3 consisting of length- adjustable flat slab cords, fixing metal fittings or the like are arranged at both end portions of the main body 1, and by connecting them to receiving links 8, 9 fixed to the upper and lower portions of the main body 1, a main body 5 is stably suspended when the main body 1 is lifted up. The shock absorbing body 4 is attached to the upper or the lower or each side portion of the main body 1, and can be extended/contracted freely lengthwise, and consists of an inside flat rubber material and a bellowslike outer leather material covering it. The length of the main body 1 is adjusted by connecting the fitting portions 2, 3 to the receiving links 8, 9, and then carrying is conducted so that an elastic body 13 may touch a shoulder.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caddie bag by which a golf club can be smoothly taken in and out and which can previously prevent an unexpected accident such as breaking of a shaft caused when the golf club is taken in and out since a club shaft hardly hitches on the caddie bag and by which durability of the golf club can be improved. SOLUTION: A guide member 4 to guide a golf club shaft 3a when a golf club 3 is taken out and put in, is arranged in an upper part of an inner wall surface 2 of a caddie bag 1. The guide member 4 is arranged on the whole circumference or in a part (for example, on the inner wall surface of a part becoming the obverse side when it is placed on a cart) in an area L between it and a central part at least in the lengthwise direction from an inserting port 1a of the caddie bag 1.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to attach and detach a cover to/from a throat structure part of a golf bag. SOLUTION: A cover has an outer part for covering a surrounding ring 22 of a throat structure part and an inner part for covering a cross bar 24 of the throat structure part. The outer part of the cover has a first sidewall positioned within the inside of the surrounding ring 22, a second sidewall positioned at the outside of the surrounding ring 22, and an upper wall for connecting these sidewalls. A strip member mounted on the first sidewall is arranged in such a way to engage with an inner lip 25. The lip extends on the surrounding part of the surrounding ring 22 having a throat structure part. The inner part of the cover has an approximately U-shaped cross section and has one pair of flanges. By fixing these flanges integrally in a detachable way, the inner part of the cover is attached to the cross bar 24 having the throat structure part. COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO

The present invention provides an improved golf club having an adjustable length shaft retractable between fully extended and collapsed positions. In one embodied form, the inventive golf club comprises plural concentric telescopic interlocking tubular sections which produce a friction lock between the tubular sections in a fully extended position. When the inventive club is in a fully collapsed position, the proximate ends of the tubular sections are disposed in relation to one another in sufficient distance to permit grasp of a player's hand about one of the tubular sections, but without the occurrence of pinch between proximate ends of the tubular sections. In another embodiment of the invention, a durable lightweight golf bag is provided which provides a convenient means for carrying the inventive golf clubs and associated golfing equipment. Accordingly, the present invention provides improved golf clubs which are more conveniently retracted in a collapsed position without required specialized tools and which minimize the occurrence of pinch of a player's hand when the club is in a retracted position.
