The golf club 2 has an attaching/detaching mechanism to enable attaching/detaching of the head 4 and a shaft 6. The attaching/detaching mechanism enables the shaft 6 to be fixed into the hosel hole 18 of the head 4 at a plurality of circumferential direction mounting positions. The shaft 6 has anisotropy to generate twists interlocking with deflection. Preferably an angle θ1 formed by the axis line of the shaft 6 and the axis line of the hosel hole 18 is 0°. Preferably, the bending-torsion quantity of the shaft 6 is not lower than 0.5°.

One object is to provide a golf club equipped with a shaft made of FRP, the golf club being excellent in swing feeling and ball-hitting feeling and capable of stabilizing directional accuracy in ball hitting. The golf club according to the present invention is characterized in that it includes a shaft made of a fiber-reinforced resin mounted to a head, and the shaft is formed so that a variation of a ratio between torsional rigidity and bending rigidity (GIp/EI) is 0.2 or less over an entire length thereof.
6 Balanced golf club head US15427503 2017-02-08 US09776059B1 2017-10-03 John J. Buday
A balanced club head includes an encasing with a face plate, a rear side, left and right side, a top side, and a bottom side, defining an interior, right and left inner longitudinal walls, a shaft aperture, a shaft receptacle, a notch in one of the walls, such that the balanced club head is configured to receive a golf shaft, such that the shaft receptacle is configured to receive a lower end of the golf shaft, which protrudes through the shaft aperture with the notch accommodating an angled position of the golf shaft, thereby creating a counter weight and balance that maximizes distance and provides greater accuracy of direction when mounted on a golf club.

A golf club and golf club shaft includes a tubular member having at least one neck portion with a reduced outer diameter and at least one relatively rigid two-piece sleeve secured to the tubular member in overlying relationship to each neck portion. The two-piece sleeve defines a small central gap filled by a compressible ring to allow the two otherwise longitudinally aligned sleeve pieces to pivot relative to one another under dynamic loading of the tubular member during a golf swing, and then upon reaching a limit point restrict additional deflection or bending of the tubular member.

The present invention provides novel polyolefin compositions having variable hardness and/or toughness properties. The polyolefin compositions include: a polyolefin prepared by the metathesis of an olefin monomer using a ruthenium or osmium carbene catalyst; and one or more hardness and/or toughness modulators. The polyolefin is preferably poly(dicyclopentadiene), or poly-DCPD. Also provided are articles of manufacture, such as molded parts, produced from the polyolefin compositions. The disclosed compositions are useful in marine, recreational and sports products.

A golf club having a hollow club head construction with a lightweight composite core inserted into the club head cavity and juxtaposed against a front face by compressed gas to provide support to the front face therein. The core material is less dense and having greater flexibility than the front face. The front face has a variable stiffness so as to create a variable Coefficient of Restitution (COR) across the face, therein normalizing the hitting area over a greater portion of the face. The composite core in cooperation with the front face to provide a COR from about 0.8 in the middle of the face to about 0.9 in the outer section. The body of the club head having at least one opening wherein the composite core is visible and provides the shell for that portion of the club head.
