Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine Patiententransporteinrichtung für Passagierfahrzeuge, insbesondere Passagierflugzeuge, welche über Sitzreihen aufstellbar ist, mit einem Grundgestell (10) mit im wesentlichen vertikalen Stützen (4,5), welches an Sitzschienen des Fahrzeugs einstellbar fixiert ist, und mit einer Liegeeinrichtung mit einer Stützstruktur (8) sowie lösbaren Fixierelementen, mit denen die Liegeeinrichtung am Grundgestell fixierbar ist. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass die Fixierelemente Knotenbleche (11) zur Ableitung von Horizontalkräften aus der Stützstruktur der Liegeeinrichtung in die im wesentlichen vertikalen Stützen (4, 5) des Grundgestells aufweisen, die in den Lichtraum der Transporteinrichtung zwischen Stützstruktur (8) und im wesentlichen vertikalen Stützen (4, 5) ragen und an der Stützstruktur (8) und den im wesentlichen vertikalen Stützen befestigbar sind, wobei der Lichtraum der Transporteinrichtung zwischen Stützstruktur (8) und im wesentlichen vertikalen Stützen (4, 5) durch die Knotenbleche (11) um höchstens 10% vermindert wird. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner einen Adapter zur Verbindung einer Liegeeinrichtung einer Patiententransporteinrichtung mit einem Traggestell und/oder Grundgestell, der wenigstens zwei Befestigungseinrichtungen zur wahlweisen Befestigung des Adapters an wenigstens zwei unterschiedlichen Trag- und/oder Grundgestellen aufweist.
