PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the management of life compared with the case of conventional inventions.SOLUTION: An electromagnetic switch A1 comprises: a measurement unit 5 which measures changes due to opening/closing of a contact (the number of times of opening/closing); a life determination unit 6 which determines the state of the contact based on the changes (the number of times of opening/closing) measured by the measurement unit 5; and an output unit 8 which outputs a result of determination by the life determination unit 6 to the outside. Consequently, the management of life is facilitated compared with the case of conventional inventions because an apparatus incorporating the electromagnetic switch A1 no longer needs to manage the life of the electromagnetic switch A1 by counting the number of times of opening/closing, etc. | ||||||

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic relay consuming small power after operation of the relay and automatically reclosable when a contact is accidentally opened. SOLUTION: Permanent magnets 1 and 2 each have insufficient attractive force to overcome force of a spring 4 when yokes 3 and 7 are apart from each other, but, when the yokes 3 and 7 are brought together, the permanent magnets each have attractive force providing sufficient holding force against the spring means. An electromagnetic force generation coil 6 can be operated in a first condition to provide sufficient attractive force for connecting yokes 3 and 7 with the permanent magnets 1 and 2 against the force of the spring 4, and in a second condition to provide sufficient repulsive force between the yokes 3 and 7 with the spring 4 for separating the yokes 3 and 7 from each other against the force of the permanent magnets 1 and 2. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic switching device which uses only one drive module, generally regardless of the number of poles and as a result a comparatively big width relevant to this, and which is economically advantageous, by improving the electromagnetic switching device comprising at least one contact module which has a movable contact component and a stationary contact component collaborating with the former, a drive module which has a movable element 7 operating electro-magnetically, and a coupling device which connects the movable element to the movable contact component, prepared between both the modules. SOLUTION: On a drive module, a contact module having wide width compared with this, and projecting over the width of the drive module on both sides, can be laid. Covering the whole height of the drive module, both side walls 6 of a contact module are prolonged and arranged. An opened slot 8 which is oriented in rise-and-fall direction of the movable element 7, is equipped in the side walls 6 of a contact module. The side walls 6 also encloses the contact module and drive module. A taking pin 18 which engages with the slot 8 is equipped at the side facing the both side walls 6 of the coupling device 15 which can slide between the both side walls 6. PURPOSE: To facilitate housing of contacts in a narrow case and enable both overload current protection and load control by providing plural sets of contacts, a tripping mechanism part, an actuator, and a feedback means. CONSTITUTION: A first set of contacts comprises a pair of separable overload breaker contacts 44, 46. A tripping mechanism part and a switch which separate the contacts 44, 46 from each other when an overcurrent flows are provided, and a second set of contacts comprises a pair of switching relay contacts 150, 152 electrically connected in series with the contacts 44, 46. An actuator 154 operates the contacts 150, 152 mechanically when excited, and a feedback means showing the conditions of the contacts 150, 152 in response to the excitation of the actuator 154 is provided. Thus the operating force of the actuator 154 is reduced and its size can be reduced, whereby the contacts 44, 46, 150, 152, and the like can easily be mounted in a narrow case and the condition of load can be determined.
