Provided is an electronic apparatus capable of reducing cost and the thickness of a chassis. In the electronic apparatus 10, detection switches 35a to 35c for detecting the depressing operations of the push buttons 24a to 24c are provided on the lower surface side of the board plate 32, and the push buttons 24a to 24c are provided adjacent to the side part of the board plate 32 and includes a vertically-movable operation surface part 50 for receiving depressing operations and a detection arm 52, which protrudes from one edge part of the operation surface part 50 to the lower surface side of the board plate 32 and presses the detection switches 35a to 35c by moving in the opposite direction to the direction of the vertical movement of the operation surface part 50.

A keyboard includes plural keybar actuatros (11) each including plural keys (19, 23, 27, 31) hingedly interconnected (25, 29, 33) and a sensing device (13). The keys of a keybar actuator are all actuated by a common finger (45) in touch typing and therefore are nto jointly actuated. Depression of one key causes the keybar actuator (11) to pivot and the sensing device (13) indicates which key is depressed depending upon the amount of keybar actuator rotation. Alternate sensing devices include individual contact switches associated with each key.

At this time, when the operating body 70 is pressed, the rotation center of the operating body 70 changes correspondingly to the pushed portions, distances between the pushed portions of the operating body 70 and the rotation centers become almost the same regardless of the pushed portions, and operating loads become almost uniform regardless of the pushed portions of the operating body 70.
