The amplifier having a larger diameter than the flute body is mounted at the distal end of the flute body to amplify sounds while preventing diffusion of the lowest sound. PURPOSE: To reduce variation of the blowing feeling, tone quality, etc., of a trombone irrespective of the use of a by-pass tube by constituting the tube switching valve of the trombone of two interlocking 3-port rotary valves. CONSTITUTION: In this rotary valve structure of a trombone, switching between a by-pass tube 131 and main tubes 101 and 103 is performed by operating an operation link 127. When the link 127 is operated in the direction shown by the arrow, the valve rotor 111A of this rotary valve 111 turns 120° through a flange section 112b. As the rotor 111A turns, a link 121 is pulled in the direction shown by the arrow through another flange section 112a. Therefore, the valve rotor 113A of another rotary valve 113 also turns 120° in the direction shown by the arrow through the link 121 and a flange section 114. As a result, each rotor hole 133 and 135 moves and the main tube 101 and by-pas tube 131 are simultaneously communicated with the by-pass tube and main tube 103, respectively.
