223 EYEGLASSES VISOR AND CASE EP04815310.0 2004-12-21 EP1699394A2 2006-09-13 Lawrence, Richard; Lawrence, Isabel Clare
This invention relates to a eyeglass case and visor with a novel method of attachment to the limbs of a pair of eyeglasses, so that the eyeglasses are firmly connected to the visor at the forehead of the wearer of the eyeglasses, in an attitude which keeps it from drooping into the vision range of the user. More particularly, the visor is formed of two plies of material, the top ply is crescent shaped and the bottom ply is crescent shaped with the corners removed to allow for a wide opening pocket and proper placement of attachment bands on the bottom of the top ply of material. The top and bottom plies of material are connected together along the convex edges of the top and bottom plies of material, but are left substantially unconnected along the other edges except for a fastening means, thereby forming a wide opening pocket in which the eyeglasses can be placed without removal of the eyeglass limbs from the visor attachment bands.

A side shield (28), having a laterally running channel (36), is provided with side walls and a pair of channel apertures (46a, 46b) on opposing sides of the channel (36) and aligned with one another transversely across the channel (36). An eyewear temple (14) resides in the channel (36) of the side shield (28) with the lock aperture residing between and aligned with the pair of channel apertures. A lock pin (48), having an upper end and a lower end, is routed through the pair of channel apertures (46a, 46b) and the lock aperture thereby securing the side shield (28) to the temple (14).

229 PERSONAL ACCESSORY FOR WORKING WITH THE SCREEN OF AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE EP98950535.9 1998-09-22 EP1037089A1 2000-09-20 Toganov, Vladimir Mihaylovich

The present invention relates to an accessory for working with electronic devices that include screens for representing images, texts, letters, etc. This accessory comprises a system for fixing it to the head of a user, wherein said system is connected to a device for releasing the tension of the eye muscles. This device is made in the shape of at least one member for blocking the field of vision of both eyes, wherein said member is made of light absorbing and/or scattering material. This device is used for blocking sequentially the user's left and right eyes in order to relax the weakening muscles of both eyes and thus increase the user's working capacity. This accessory is easy to manufacture and to use and has a reduced cost.

230 PROTECTIVE EYEWEAR FOR USE IN SPORTS AND THE LIKE EP91920307.5 1991-10-21 EP0554371B1 1997-07-23 KOPFER, Rudolph J.
Protective eyewear for sports activities and the like having a resilient rigid frame is disclosed. Included is a sealing area (26, 28) around the eyes having a web (32, 34) which diverges outwardly in every direction toward the lens frame (21). The frame (21) is curvedly contoured around the face of the user and in conjunction with the diverging web (32, 34), provides both maximum eye protection and peripheral visibility. A semi-rigid frame provides for temple bar (36) mounting and obviates the need for around-the-head straps.

232 FACIAL SHIELD, PARTICULARLY FOR PROTECTION FROM THE SUN. EP93918357 1993-07-23 EP0651627A4 1995-09-20 SCHLEGER LINDA; WITTMAN MARY
Facial protective wear including a facial shield member (84) having a substantially transparent portion for allowing visible light to pass to the wearer's eyes and a support (22) coupled to the facial shield for supporting the facial shield on the wearer's head. The facial shield member further has a nose protective portion (82) extending over and protecting substantially the wearer's entire nose from in front of and from above and preferably has side portions protecting the wearer's eyes in a direction from the sides of the wearer's head. The facial shield member transparent portion preferably substantially prevents ultraviolet solar radiation from reaching the wearer's eyes and facial features, such as the nose and cheeks, and also from reaching the eyes in a direction from the sides of the head. The facial protective wear also can be used to protect the wearer from the wind and from injury due to flying objects.
233 Sehhilfe bei Netzhautablösungen mit Beteiligung der Macula EP94100362.6 1994-01-12 EP0607856A1 1994-07-27 Lesko Van Dawen, Dieter

234 Retractable eyeshield EP88307669.7 1988-08-18 EP0312199A3 1990-07-18 Armstrong, Jeffrey Allan

A retractable, partial eyeshield assembly is attached to a single eye sighting device attached to, for example, a video camera. The partial eyeshield assembly is constructed so that it covers a portion of the medial field of view of the user's nonsighting eye. The obstructed portion of the nonsighting eye's medial field of view corresponds to that portion of the sighting eye's that contains only the image transmitted through the single eye sighting device's sighting aperture. By obstructing the portion of the nonsighting eye's medial field of view, the corresponding field of view in the sighting eye dominates. The obstruction of the portion of the nonsighting eye's field of view is achieved without obstructing a substantial portion of the nonsighting eye's peripheral and medial fields of view.

236 READING SPECTACLES EP86906907.0 1986-12-02 EP0248835A1 1987-12-16 ERIKSSON, Carl, Erik

240 CORRECTIVE LENS APPARATUS AND METHOD EP16840236.0 2016-08-26 EP3341095A1 2018-07-04 Goebel Quintana, Alejandro, A.
A unitary lens structure is provided which is employable with spectacles as well as goggles and safety eyewear. The lens is formed as a unitary structure with projections having surfaces which are machinable for prescription eyewear extending from a first side surface of a larger shield. Damage from cracking of the shield at the intersections with the projection perimeters is prevented by non linear connections between the two surfaces.
