An arrangement (2) for selectively making available hydraulic power in separate hydraulic circuits comprises two displacement machines (4, 6), two free-wheels (8, 10) and a drive unit (12) that is preferably arranged between the displacement machines (4, 6). The free- wheels block in opposite directions and are coupled to the displacement machines. Consequently, the first displacement machine (4) is driven in a first rotating direction of the drive unit (12) while the second displacement machine (6) is only driven in a second, opposite rotating direction of the drive unit. This makes it possible to realize an intermittent operation for selectively making available additional hydraulic power in separate hydraulic subsystems by choosing the rotating direction accordingly. This arrangement can reduce the weight and the complexity of a hydraulic system. |

A pressure compensator, particularly for oleodynamic applications, comprising two cylinders: a compensator cylinder in which is slidingly engaged a first piston comprising a first piston rod, and a reducing cylinder, in which is slidingly engaged a second piston comprising a second piston rod axially connected to the first piston rod; said compensator cylinder being coupled to a main oleodynamic cylinder; said compensator cylinder having a size so designed as to provide the same area ratio as that of the main cylinder, thereby to a set position of said main cylinder piston corresponding a precise position of the first piston of the compensator cylinder; said reducing cylinder comprising at least a low-pressure chamber coupled to a pressure gauge; a displacement of the reducing cylinder piston rod either increases or decreases a pressure in said low-pressure chamber, proportionately to a working pressure in the main cylinder. |

Hydraulic control apparatus for automatic remote control of a hydraulic actuating ram. The apparatus has a double-acting slave cylinder connectable hydraulically to an actuating ram, and a double-acting master cylinder the piston of which is mechanically connected to the piston of the slave cylinder, the master cylinder being operable by hydraulic pressure supplied via a pilot-operated valve arranged automatically to reverse the stroke of the master ram at limits set according to the desired stroke of the actuating ram. The control apparatus may be used for controlling actuating rams which effect reciprocating pivotal movement about one or more axes of a water jet monitor. |

An hydraulic control system having a master and load cylinder, the latter positioning a control shaft in response to movements of the former. The control system has a separate auxiliary circuit which automatically returns the load piston to its neutral position each time the master piston passes through a predetermined position and an unsynchronized condition between the master and load pistons is sensed. A mechanical linkage, which interconnects hydraulic elements of the two hydraulic circuits, senses the unsynchronized condition; and the auxiliary circuit upon indication of an unsynchronized condition returns the load piston to its neutral position.

A manually actuated hydraulic meter-pump device for controlling the operation of a hydraulic servomotor. The device includes a cylindrical sleeve valve carried for axial and rotational movement in a bore wall. The sleeve valve is shifted axially in opposite directions to provide movement of the servomotor in opposite directions and comprises a series of axially spaced circumferential lands and grooves which cooperate with a series of similar lands and grooves in the bore wall to control the flow of fluid through the device. Since the fluid pressure in adjacent grooves may be unequal some of the grooves are arranged to serve as pressure dams to reduce parasitic leakage between the sleeve valve and bore wall. To this end the pressure dam grooves are connected by conduits to high-pressure grooves and poppet-type valves are mounted in the conduits to establish flow therethrough when their respective pressure dam grooves are serving as pressure dams and to block flow therethrough at other times.
