161 Intake manifold for exhaust gas recirculation and method of manufacture US3717130D 1971-10-14 US3717130A 1973-02-20 THORNBURGH W
In an internal combustion engine, exhaust gas is recirculated from the intake manifold exhaust gas crossover passage to the induction passages. The exhaust gas recirculation passage is cast integrally in the intake manifold structure, extending from the exhaust crossover passage to a recirculation control valve and then to the induction passages.
162 Low water-sensitive hydraulic fluids containing borate esters US3711410D 1971-04-12 US3711410A 1973-01-16 SAWYER A; CSEJKA D
A low water-sensitive hydraulic fluid composition which contains from about 20 to about 96 percent by weight of at least one borate ester as the base fluid. Such low-water sensitive hydraulic fluids are high boiling compositions particularly useful as brake fluids.
163 Gasoline pressure regulator device US3695438D 1970-07-06 US3695438A 1972-10-03 MALPASSI ALBERTO
A petrol or gasoline pressure regulator device, particularly for motor vehicles, comprising a regulator body with two chambers separated by a diaphragm and a valve member controlling a communication duct to one of said chambers and acting on said diaphragm, the combinated effect of said valve member and of said diaphragm controlling the pressure of the petrol or gasoline inside said regulator body.
164 Fuel supply systems US3685503D 1970-08-31 US3685503A 1972-08-22 JACKSON HAROLD ERNEST
A petrol injection system for an internal combustion engine in which separate main injectors in main air inlet tubes feeding such port are supplemented by a constricted and possibly heated common air inlet tube having a further injector. The supplementary inlet tube is effective during idling and low power running and the main injectors and main air inlet tubes are used for higher powers, the supplementary inlet being phased out.
165 Apparatus for mixing a plurality of gaseous streams US3667679D 1969-12-22 US3667679A 1972-06-06 WIESENBERGER JOSEF
A method of mixing compressible fluid media (which may include an atomized spray) comprising delivering said media to a mixing zone, at least one said medium being a gas or vapor, and imparting to said gaseous or vaporous medium in the mixing zone a supersonic velocity and/or a sonic vibration, whereby the supersonic velocity and/or the sonic vibration promotes mixing of the fluid media.
166 Mass air flow measuring means US3667494D 1970-08-11 US3667494A 1972-06-06 HAASE ELMER A
A mass air flow sensitive fuel control for controlling fuel to a multiple cylinder internal combustion engine wherein the fuel control apparatus includes mass air flow sensing means such as a high gain venturi disposed in the air induction passage for measuring the mass air flow to a single engine cylinder and a fuel control valve actuated as a function of the venturi air pressure output for controlling fuel flow to all of the engine cylinders as a function of the mass air flow to the one engine cylinder.
167 Fuel pumps with reversible air dome and filter US3617157D 1970-06-24 US3617157A 1971-11-02 PHILLIPS CLAUDE F
A diaphragm type fuel pump is provided made of body castings with sheet metal stamped airdomes insertable in one of the cast bodies in such a position as to provide airdomes for inlet and outlet passages. One such airdome has incorporated therein a cylindrical filter element to effect a unitary airdome and filter cartridge or assembly. Airdomes and filters may be inserted in pumps of the invention positioned as determined by the mode of mounting of any such pump, i.e., whether the inlet and outlet conduits are above or below the pumping diaphragm when the pump is mounted on an engine.
168 Exhaust gas recirculation control US3610219D 1970-05-22 US3610219A 1971-10-05 SCIABICA FRANCIS A
In an internal combustion engine, exhaust gas is recirculated from the intake manifold exhaust gas crossover passage to the induction passage. An exhaust gas recirculation control valve is positioned by the throttle to proportion exhaust gas recirculation flow to induction airflow. In one embodiment, the exhaust gas recirculation passages are cast integrally in the intake manifold. Fuel metering in a timed fuel injection system responsive to manifold absolute pressure is compensated for exhaust gas recirculation.
169 Device for heating gas mixtures US3601183D 1969-09-17 US3601183A 1971-08-24 LOHNER INGOLF OTTOMAR EUGEN; TARY ENDRE JENO; HOFFMANN ECKHART; KIEFER HERMANN ECKHARD
A device for the intensive and regulated heating of gas mixtures in a suction tube having a carburetor located therealong, the suction tube being connected to an engine and the device comprising a bypass tube connected with the suction tube, means associated with the bypass tube to heat the gas mixture passing therethrough, and flap valve means located in the suction tube.
170 Carburetor-manifold adapter US3563220D 1969-09-02 US3563220A 1971-02-16 GARNER WALTER L
An adapter to facilitate mounting a pair of two venturi carburetors on an intake manifold designed to mount one 4-venturi carburetor, so that said pair of carburetors are arranged in close, interengaged relationship with each other, with their outlets in as close proximity to and in as close to register with the inlet of the manifold as is operatively feasible and practical.
171 Intake charge cooling system for rotary machine US3561894D 1969-04-07 US3561894A 1971-02-09 KING ROBERT W
