8 Composition for soft skins and uses thereof US15175396 2016-06-07 US09862819B2 2018-01-09 Kathryn J. Wright
A composition is disclosed, comprising a block copolymer, at least one homopolymer or copolymer of butene, and at least one olefin homopolymer or copolymer, wherein said block copolymer has hydrogenated low-vinyl polybutadiene end blocks with a specific gravity>0.85 g/cc, and a controlled distribution midblock of polyalkenyl arene/hydrogenated diene. Although the block copolymer has a preferred linear structure as a triblock copolymer, it may also be branched or radial coupled copolymer that has at least 2 arms or more. The composition is useful for rotational molding, slush molding, injection molding, extrusion or compression molding, or thermoforming or calendering for making articles that are resistant to chemicals such as diesel fuel, for the automotive market, for example. The MFR of the block copolymer is 1 to about 50 g/10 min. at 230° C., with a wt. of 2.16 kg.

A method of coating a roll of material with a plurality of sequins comprising steps of (1) passing a roll of material with a plurality of sequins with the sequins on an upper surface of said roll of material through two wooden guards; (2) passing said roll of material with a plurality of sequins with the sequins on said upper surface of said roll of material through a coating device, (3) passing said roll of material with a plurality of sequins with the sequins on said upper surface of said roll of material through a scrapper device to ensure the evenness of said roll of material; (4) passing said roll of material with a plurality of sequins with the sequins on said upper surface of the material through a drying room; and (5) rolling said roll of material into a second roll through a roller. This method is repeated four times to ensure that the material will be able to pass the physical and mechanical tests imposed by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
10 Method for dyeing textiles US713378 1991-06-13 US5195202A 1993-03-23 Hans-Jorg Hamann
The invention concerns a method and apparatus for dyeing textiles wherein simultaneously the surfaces of these textiles are mechanically processed in such manner that wear shall appear and that the fabric softens, making it possible to minimize energy and material expenditures on one hand and ecological stress on the other. For that purpose the invention provides that the textiles in the form of finished pieces or yard goods are stressed in-line by the bristles of brushes through which simultaneously a dye liquor with a very low proportion of dye of the order of magnitude of approximately 0.01 to 0.05 g/liter is deposited on the textile pieces.
