3 Yarn twister equipped with magnetic driving system and tension regulator JP9890779 1979-08-01 JPS5626012A 1981-03-13 NAKAMURA KANZAEMON
PURPOSE:A yarn twister in which a tension regulator is fitted to the device transmitting the rotation from the driving magnetic plate to the nondriving magnetic plate, thus preventing uneveness in tension and rising up of twist to the bobbin yarn, and permitting high-speed rotation. CONSTITUTION:When one magnetic plate 1 fitted to spindle 13 rotates, the other magnetic plate 2 with a certain space from the plate 1 is made to rotate at almost the same speed by the magnetic transmitting device B. At the same time, an appropriate tension is given to the yarn by the tension regulator A, resulting in smooth yarns-spinning. The regulation of the yarn tension is done by spring 8 and washers 5, 6 or weights or by a magnetic force of magnetized washers 5 and 6.

7 Yarn twisting spindle apparatus for yarn supply JP10470382 1982-06-19 JPS591731A 1984-01-07 NAKAI SHIYOUJI
PURPOSE:To unwind a yarn in the state of no twist or twisted state, by taking out the yarn directly from a pickup roll provided on the outer top periphery of a cage rotatably supported on a spindle or through a hollow part of the spindle and a flyer. CONSTITUTION:A cage 12 and a bobbin receiver 14 are rotatably supported on a spindle 10, and a yarn (Y) taken out of a yarn supply bobbin 20 mounted on the bobbin receiver 14 is passed through plural feed rolls 15 and a fulcral roll 19 and then to a pickup roll 29. When the yarn (Y) is directly taken out of a pickup roll 29 and a yarn guide 5 and then take-up roll 6, the yarn (Y) can be taken out in the state of no twist. When the yarn (Y) is passed through the pickup roll 29, a traverse fulcral roll 28 and a hollow hole in the spindle 10 from above downward and taken out upward by a flyer 17 while ballooned on the outer periphery of the cage 12, a stable twisted yarn is obtained while giving accurate twists thereto.

17 Method and apparatus for twisting yarns US648771 1976-01-14 US4164840A 1979-08-21 Kurt C. Chilpan; William L. Lewis
Yarns or filaments from producers packages, having little or no twist therein and mounted upon two-for-one spindle units, are uptwisted, directed to a ply twisting unit where the twisted filaments are plied and downtwisted onto a takeup bobbin of a spindle unit. A selected percentage of the required twist is inserted as the plied, cabled filaments are wound upon the takeup bobbin and the remainder of the required twist inserted as the filaments are unwound from the takeup bobbin and directed to a winder unit. Alternatively, the rate of twist applied to the plied filaments may be increased by driving the traveler ring, thus increasing the life or the speed of the traveler which directs plied filaments to the driven takeup bobbin. Occasionally, when two-for-one spindle units are applying extremely high twist, which slows down the delivery of twisted plied filaments, the driven downtwist takeup spindle unit may employ a super high speed stationary traveler ring. Plied filaments extending between the takeup bobbin and the winder unit may be heat set, if desired.
18 Method of and apparatus for twisting yarn US44471474 1974-02-22 US3869852A 1975-03-11 HAMEL EDMUND
A yarn bobbin or package is rotated at high speed about an axis and the air immediately surrounding the bobbin is confined with an open-ended tube that is rotated with the yarn bobbin and projects beyond the yarn bobbin. This tube forms a vortex of air at its open end which has a velocity which decreases axially away from the package. The yarn is pulled off the bobbin toward this open end and passed through an eye axially spaced from the yarn bobbin so that this yarn is guided through the vortex to form a balloon. The air currents in the vortex brake the thread. The eye can be mounted well above the assembly, or can be provided in a recess in an insert received in the top of the yarn package. Offsetting this eye to the rotation axis of the yarn body causes a tension vibration to be formed in the yarn that prevents the snapping of the yarn during twisting thereof.
19 Apparatus for spinning a filament US25514772 1972-05-19 US3807159A 1974-04-30 HAMEL E
An apparatus for spinning a filament includes a vertical spindle carrying a bobbin of filament to be spun and having a balloonlimiting bell surrounding the bobbin and formed with an upwardly open mouth. The spindle carries at its upper end an upwardly tapered guide pin which projects through the bell mouth and around which the filament is wound several times. The filament is pulled tangentially off this guide pin at an acute angle to the spindle axis as the bell, spindle, and guide pin are rotated about this axis. A tensioning rod may be provided between the pin and the driven takeup spool. This rod is displaceable and may be resiliently biased parallel to the spindle axis. No other filament guide is provided on the bell.
