A marble-patterned enclosure such as a bathtub, basin or sink is provided wherein a marble pattern is applied to the back of a transparent acrylic sheet prior to thermoforming. After the acrylic sheet with the marble pattern applied to the back thereof has been thermoformed into the desired configuration a layer of opaque-colored primer, which is a paint consisting essentially of unsaturated polyester and pigment is applied on the pattern printed exterior side of the configuration for the dual purposes of preventing the marble pattern from bleeding, discoloration, etc. and to increase both impact strength and heat resistance of the formed structure. Thereafter on top of the primer, another layer of fiber glass reinforced polyester is applied to provide general reinforcement to the structure. The enclosure of the present invention can easily and inexpensively be fabricated according to this procedure and possesses the appearance of natural marble over the entire outside of the enclosure with superior impact strength and heat resistance. |

The invention contemplates a modular wall-mountable lavatory unit, particularly adapted to side-by-side adjacent mounting in multiple, and comprising interrelated basin and other lavatory-utility features defined by intermediate and side panels and by the contoured wall and shelf elements by which the panels are integrally connected and mutually reinforced. The unit structure accounts for such complete wall coverage as to be directly applicable to (suspendable from) rough stud-framing of a wall and, if desired, to both sides of a single stud-framed wall. The unit structure is also directly applicable to a wall which externally mounts horizontal courses of water-service and drainage plumbing. |

A wall mounted vanity and lavatory assembly positioned between two opposed walls of a room where the assembly contains a vanity member having a lavatory located therein. The vanity member also contains a support portion and an attachment portion located at each end of the vanity member. Secured on each of the opposed walls is a mounting bracket where the mounting bracket contains a support surface and an attachment surface. The vanity member is positioned on the mounting bracket so that the support portion of the vanity member is in engagement with the support surface of the mounting bracket to provide vertical support for the vanity member. The attachment portion of the vanity member is securely attached to the attachment surface of the mounting bracket to hold the vanity member in position between the opposed walls. |

A lavatory made of single molded plastic sheet with reinforcing on its underside is shaped to have a substantially flat counter portion, an upwardly rising back wall along the rear of the counter portion, a bowl rimmed by the counter portion, and a spout shaped fixture portion located between the back wall and the bowl. The fixture has a pair of spaced side walls rising up from the counter portion and extending forward from the back wall, a top side spanning between the side walls, and an underside which rises from the rear wall of the bowl in an arch to extend out over the bowl and join with the side walls and top to form the spout. A valve is mounted on the top side of the fixture portion.

A group wash station includes an inverted frusto-conical base pedestal with a two-part molded plastic wash bowl mounted thereon. A pneumatic tread is adhesively bonded on the floor surface around the base pedestal and is operatively connected through an air hose to a pressure-actuated switch mounted in the base pedestal. The switch is in turn associated with a solenoid valve for controlling the flow of water from supply conduits to a spray head assembly mounted above the wash bowl. A rigid loadsupporting plate is usefully provided under the wash bowl for transmitting stresses to the base pedestal.
