A washing counter of the invention is characterized by: a bowl portion having a concave configuration used for washing and the like; a counter portion supporting the bowl portion; and a light source portion disposed on a backside of the bowl portion to emit light toward the bowl portion, where the washing counter radiates the light from the light source portion to surroundings from a surface of the bowl portion, at least one portion of the bowl portion is formed of a transparent member obtained by dispersing a light diffusing member in a base member having a transparent raw material having a light-transmitting transparency, the light diffusing member is a micro particle having a transparent raw material having a light refractive index different from a light refractive index of the base member, the light source portion is disposed to face an end face of a butt portion of the transparent member, and at least one portion of the transparent member is a light radiation portion where the light from the light source portion guided through the transparent member from the butt portion is radiated outside by the light radiation portion while being diffused by the light diffusing member due to the at least one portion of the bowl portion being formed of the transparent member and the light source portion being disposed to face the end face. In a washing makeup stand having a light emission source using a transparent raw material, the overall external appearance quality affected by the transparency of the raw materials used including the light emission quality can be improved by the appropriate configuration of the transparent raw material and the light emission source. |

Polymeric plumbing fixtures such as sinks, lavatories and tubs are disclosed that comprise a thermoformed or molded interior shell having a top side with a relatively smooth, polymeric surface; a polymeric reinforcing layer bonded to the underside of the shell; and a thermoformed or polymeric cap nestably engageable with the underside of the reinforced shell. The cap cooperates with the shell to encapsulate the reinforcing layer and the reinforcing layer bonds the cap the shell to form a unitary structure. The polymeric cap thereby provides an attractive, finished surface on the underside of the resultant fixture. The structural configuration disclosed herein is particularly preferred for use in making kitchen sinks. A method for making the subject fixtures is also disclosed. |

A sink support shell apparatus and method of making a sink support shell are provided. The sink support shell apparatus is a shell shaped to be compatible with the sink that is to be placed in the sink support shell. The sink support shell includes a rim for mounting the shell either above or below the countertop level. The shell further includes an overflow/vent channel and stand-off in the base for attaching the shell to the necessary plumbing fixtures to allow for drainage of the water from the sink. The overflow/vent channel is formed in the material of the shell and allows water to flow down the channel to be drained by the attached plumbing fixtures as well as air to be vented to reduce suction noise. The sink support shell is made of high-impact material, such as a metal or hard plastic material. |

A bowl section of a wash-hand basin main body is provided with an overflow edge section of which part is extended upward to form an extension section. The extension section is provided with a cleaning fluid ejection port adapted to eject soapy water or the like for removing dirt and/or bacteria adhered to a user's hands. In this construction, the extension section continuously formed at a section of the overflow edge section of the bowl section functions as a conventional function case and as result, the number of parts and the number of execution man-hours can be reduced. Since a clearance or gap as seen in the prior art is not produced, cleaning efficiency can be improved. A cleaning fluid is filled in a tank, and a cleaning fluid refilling port for refilling the cleaning fluid from the tank is provided on the inner surface of a water receiving section. The cleaning fluid within the tank is supplied to the cleaning fluid ejection port by a pump. In this manner, it is possible to easily refill the cleaning fluid without dirtying the function case or a counter. |

A sink support shell apparatus and method of making a sink support shell are provided. The sink support shell apparatus is a shell shaped to be compatible with the sink that is to be placed in the sink support shell. The sink support shell includes a rim for mounting the shell either above or below the countertop level. The sink sits in the shell and is attached to the shell by a waterproof adhesive, such as silicon glue. The high-impact material provides protection for the sink from impacts on the underside of the sink, a leak proof support, and strength so that the sink may be fashioned from thinner material than known sinks. In addition, the sink support shell beautifies the exterior portion of the underside of the sink. |

A washing platform has a generally flat upper work surface. A spout is located adjacent the washing platform and provides a stream of fluid which impinges the work surface. The bowl can be removably placed on the washing platform to receive water from the spout. The bowl has an aperture through the bottom and a gasket which is attached to an exterior surface of the bowl around the aperture. When the bowl is placed on the work surface, the gasket provides a seal that inhibits flow of fluid there between until a user lifts the bowl to drain the water there from. |

A sink assembly having a sink bowl supported by a cabinet, wherein the cabinet encloses water supply and drain pipes. The cabinet preferably including front opening doors and a floor that slopes upwardly from the doors. In the event of a water leak inside the cabinet, the water strikes the sloped floor and flows down the floor and exits the cabinet in front of the doors. By this means, leaking water is prevented from accumulating within the cabinet and a user is provided with a warning of the leak. |

A pair of access openings are formed in the housing and communicate with a pair of cleaning chambers within the cleaning compartment. A reservoir is provided in the housing below the cleaning compartment for storing a supply of cleaning fluid. A plurality of nozzles are positioned in each cleaning chamber for directing cleaning fluid toward the hands of a user when inserted through the access openings. A pump is fluidly connected between the reservoir and the nozzles for transferring cleaning fluid from the reservoir to the nozzles. A power supply is connected to the pump and a switch is located within the housing between the power supply and the pump. The switch is operable to actuate the pump when a user's hand is positioned in the cleaning compartment. The switch may be manually actuable or may automatically sense the presence of a hand in the cleaning compartment. |

THIS DISPOSABLE WASH OR SOAKING BASIN IS PARTICULARLY SUITABLE FOR PATIENT USE. THE BASIN IS DURABLE ENOUGH FOR REPEATED USE YET INEXPENSIVE ENOUGH TO BE DISCARDED AFTER USE BY A PATIENT, IF SO DESIRED. THE SOLID, INTEGRALLY-MOLDED PLASTIC BASIN INCLUDES A GENERALLY FLAT SUPPORTING BASE ELONGATED IN ONE DIRECTION SUFFICIENT TO ACCOMMODATE A FOREARM OR FOOT, FOUR SIDE WALLS EXTENDING UPWARDLY AND SLIGHTLY OUTWARDLY FROM THE BASE, AND A HORIZONTAL LEDGE OR SHELF INTEGRAL WITH THE UPPER EDGE OF ONE OF THE LONGER SIDE WALLS FOR SUPPORTING ARTICLES. IN HORIZONTAL CROSS SECTION, EACH OF THE SIDE WALLS HAS ITS MIDPOINT BOWED OUTWARDLY, AND ONE OF THE TWO SHORTER OPPOSING SIDE WALLS IS ABOUT HALF THE LENGTH OF THE OTHER TO PROVIDE A GENERALLY TRIANGULAR SHAPE IN BRACING THE STRUCTURE AGAINST DIAGONAL DEFORMATION WHEN THE BASIN IS FILLED WITH WATER AND BEING TRANSPORTED OR HELD BY HANDLES FORMED AT THE UPPER EDGE OF THE SHORTGER SIDE WALLS.
