A store fixture for displaying apparel or other hangable merchandise employs a horizontal support bar that is supported at an elevated position, and at least one swing-arm hang bar is pivotally supported situated underneath the horizontal support bar. The swing-arm hang bar has one or more projecting rods or tubes serving as arms on which the hangable merchandise can be suspended. The swing arm has a sleeve journaled on a pivot that is affixed to the support arm. There is a detent arrangement provided between the pivot and the sleeve, so that the swing-arm hang bar releasably locks into a first position that is at one angle to the horizontal support bar, parallel to the support bar, and a second position that is at another angle, a right angle, to it. Store personnel can change the orientation of the hang bars by simply lifting them up slightly to release the detents and ten rotating them to the desired position. Re-arranging the hang bars does not require any tools, nor removal or installation of any parts. |

A gerotor mechanism is used to guide the rotation of a turntable having a Reuleaux triangle shape. The mechanism includes a gerotor having three lobes; the gerotor guide has a guide profile including four recesses for receiving the lobes of the gerotor. Rotation is governed by a 4:3 hypocycloid function. The profiles of the gerotor and the gerotor guide are expanded uniformly from an original hypocycloid pattern so that rotation of the turntable results in execution of the hypocycloid function while retaining the gerotor in controlled contact with the profile of the gerotor guide. Substantially planar bearing surfaces may be used at the interface of (a) the turntable and the gerotor guide, (b) the gerotor and the gerotor guide, or (c) the gerotor and the underlying support surface. The gerotor guide may be part of a cabinet or built into a kitchen countertop. |

A stand for supporting one or more musical instruments that swivels to permit the selected musical instrument to be made available directly in front of the user or in another predetermined selected position and can be locked in position for ready access. The present invention comprises a swiveling support post and a fixed inner support post contained therein. The swiveling support post is selectively locked or unlocked in a desired position through employment of a locking swivel assembly. The locking swivel assembly includes a tension spring whose tension force is employed to exert braking pressure thereby locking the outer swivel post in a predetermined selected position. A foot pedal release mechanism is provided which releases the force on the tension spring thereby releasing the braking pressure and allowing free rotation of the outer swivel post. A folding tripod base portion provides support for the entire assembly and folds for ready storage. A plurality of upper and lower musical instrument supports are attached to the swiveling support post wherein said upper musical instrument supports are radially displaced to accommodate the maximum number of musical instruments. |

A storage device includes a generally enclosed body including inner and outer areas. The inner area includes axially adjustable shelves for dividing the inner area into adjustable compartments, and the outer area includes a plurality of pockets disposed along a periphery of the body for facilitating storage of shoes within the pockets. A release mechanism provides and prevents access to the inner area when in respective opened and closed configurations. A connection mechanism is disposed adjacent a top of the body and affixable to a complementary connector to allow the storage device to be hung and thereby permit axial extension of the body when in a hung configuration and otherwise permit collapse of the body. In other configurations, instead of adjustable shelves, the storage device may include an independently rotatable inner body including a plurality of pockets, or individual shoe storage bodies mounted on rails. |

A rotating display holder for VCR tapes, DVD's, and video games. The holder is round and contains multiple sleeves or compartments to hold the above media items, such that the user can easily read the title of each on the spine of the item. In the preferred mode of production, the compartments are spaced apart from one another so that the user can easily place his or her fingers around the tape or DVD to conveniently pull the item from the holder. Importantly, the rotatable holder can hold a mix of VCR tapes and DVD's or games, saving a great deal of space for the user. Therefore, the holder can be placed in a cabinet with shelves for VCR's or DVD players, as well as in a wall unit or entertainment center The rotatable holder may be produced in several sizes, such as a small and large size, and the holders can be stacked on top of one another to hold large collections of tapes, DVD's, and games. In addition, the rotatable holder may be motorized and remotely controlled. This allows the user to spin the holder to easily locate a particular item contained within. Finally, specialized cabinets may be made for the rotatable holder, providing a compact means to hold a variety of items in an attractive manner. |
