Die Vorderseite (3) umfasst einen durch transparente Segmente (9) verschließbaren Öffnungsabschnitt, wobei zwei Segmente (9) ein Doppelsegment (19) bilden. Die Segmente (9) weisen eine vertikal verlaufende Schwenkkante (21) und eine vertikal verlaufende Führungskante (22) auf, wobei die einander zugewandten Schwenkkanten (21) durch Scharniere (5.2) derart miteinander verbunden sind, dass beim Öffnen der Vitrine (1) die Schwenkkanten (21) vom Präsentationsraum (2) wegbewegt werden. Eine der einander abgewandten vertikal verlaufenden Führungskanten (22) der Segmente (9) eines Doppelsegmentes (19) ist in einer horizontal angeordneten Decken- und/oder Bodenschiene (11, 12) an der Vorderseite (3) geführt. Beim Verschieben der Segmente (9) zum Öffnen und Schließen der Vitrine (1) ragen die Segmente (9) nicht in den Präsentationsraum (2) hinein.
