Device for detecting control [lacuna] The present invention relates to a device for detecting control of an actuator. It finds application to the setting of the orientation or position of a mechanical member movable under the action of a motor. In particular such a movable member can consist of an element of an item of furniture such as the head portion, seat portion or footrest of an armchair or the articulated parts of a bed. The detection device (1) includes a thrust detection plate (3) and a rod (4) movable as a function of the thrust exerted on the plate and of the restoring of a spring (14). The position of the rod is detected with the aid of contacts (6, 7), the state of which is detected by a relay circuit (11) which controls a motor (12) for mobilising the movable element on which the housing (1) of the device is mounted.

The control device is intended for the control of an actuator. The device comprises rest surfaces (1, 2, 3) or the like for at least two parts of a limb, preferably a human arm, for supporting said parts against these surfaces. Between rest surfaces (1, 2; 2, 3) is fitted a linkage (4, 5) which is substantially aligned with a joint between the parts of a limb. Linkage (4, 5) is provided with at least one preamplifier, adapted to issue a control message on the basis of the relative position of rest surfaces (1, 2; 2, 3). First rest surface (1) is for the palm and second rest surface (2) is for the forearm. Linkage (4) is positioned so as to be substantially aligned with the wrist joint. The microprocessor is adapted to process the signals from the actuating element, which is in the form of an impact pressure transducer and also the coordinate signals from the position transmitters (X-pos, Y-pos) to produce control data for the appliance.
