PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of reducing the possibility that a user's fingertip might be erroneously detected when a user performs an operation with respect to a display screen using the user's fingertip without looking into a finder, and further minimizing malfunction attributed to an erroneous detection as described above.SOLUTION: A camera 11 displays a second display object on a display screen TFT12 that is closer to an eyepiece detection sensor 14 than a first display object based on data stored in a non-volatile memory under at least conditions that the eyepiece detection sensor 14 is effective. The second display object is information that an operation of the camera 11 cannot be inputted thereto even if a display area (b), in which the second display object is displayed, is touched. On the other hand, the first display object is information that the operation of the camera 11 can be inputted thereto by a touch input on a display area (a), in which the first display object is displayed. |

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a warning against closing eyes for a sufficient time required for user's judgement when the user visually confirms a subject in an image where the warning is displayed by a digital camera.
SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: a face detection portion (4) which detects faces from an image photographed by an imaging means, an eye-closing detection portion (5) which detects a face with eyes closed, out of the faces detected by the face detection portion; a display portion (7) which displays the warning for a preliminarily set time in response to detection of the face with eyes closed by the eye-closing detection portion; and a warning display control portion (6) which controls the display portion to change the warning display time from the preliminarily set time in accordance with information about at least the faces detected by the face detection means or the face with eyes closed, which is detected by the eye-closing detection portion.

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To directly detect the state that the finger is put over the lens part of an electronic device with an imaging function and to inform it to a user that photographing is troubled. <P>SOLUTION: A camera and illuminance sensor of a portable communication terminal with the camera are activated (step S1), and when the predetermined illuminance or higher is obtained ("YES" in step S3), the luminance of an imaging screen is detected (step S5). When the luminance of all the pixels included in a region which includes and continues to the periphery of the screen and is a predetermined size or larger is the predetermined illuminance or below ("YES" in step S7), it is reported that photographing is troubled visibly or by audible sound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a situation where a driving part for driving a shutter is thermally broken in photographing. <P>SOLUTION: A temperature sensor 19 is provided in the periphery of a coil 18a of the shutter driving part 18 for driving a mechanical shutter device 16. The coil 18a gets thermally broken at a temperature Td. In a photographing device 100, the supply of an electric current to the coil 18a is stopped every time the temperature t of the coil 18a is determined to be larger than a threshold value Tth1 (Tth1<Td), thereby stopping continuous photographing, and the supply of an electric current to the coil 18a is restarted every time the temperature t of the coil 18a is determined to be smaller than a threshold value Tth2 (Tth2<Tth1), thereby restarting the continuous photographing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more effectively reduce power consumption required for a blur correcting operation. <P>SOLUTION: A condition for operating a blur correcting mechanism 130 is recorded for each user in an internal memory 250. In the case of imaging in a power-saving blur correction mode, a user authenticating part 211 authenticates a user. An operating condition for an authenticated user is set by a parameter setting part 212, thereby controlling the operation of the blur correcting mechanism 130 according to the set operating condition. In addition, if the operating condition for the authenticated user is unregistered, the operating condition for the user is set based on test imaging performed without operating the blur correcting mechanism 130. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus normally detecting an immobile object even when an automatic day/night function for changing the luminance and color of the entire image is operated during an immobile object detecting operation. <P>SOLUTION: In the imaging apparatus, when an imaging mode is switched by the automatic day/night function, a reference image stored in a reference image storage part 106 is updated. Then, determination by a first detection determination part 108 or a second detection determination part 109 is switched according to the position (or coordinates) of the area of the pixel stored in a detection area storage part 110. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To image the best shot image for each object.
SOLUTION: A control device 104 receives the number of objects inputted by a user to determine the number of the objects, thereby calculating the number of sheets allocated for recording an image file for each object based on free space of a storage medium and the number of the objects. The control device 104 evaluates the appearance of the object included in the image of a through image inputted from an image sensor 103 to calculate the appearance evaluation value. Then, the best shot image is imaged by adjusting focus and brightness to the object which is provided with a predetermined threshold value or more and for which maximum appearance evaluation value is calculated out of the appearance evaluation values of a plurality of objects. Further, the control device 104 determines whether or not the number of sheets of the best shot image for each object has reached the number of the sheets allocated for recording the number per person. If there is the object which is determined to arrive at the allocated number, the imaging of the best shot image for the object stops.
