Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines aus einem Formmaterial gebildeten Eingusskerns (115), an welchem ein Impfmittelkörper (120) fest gehalten ist. Um ein Verfahren bereitzustellen, mittels welchem sich auf fertigungstechnisch einfache und damit kostengünstige Weise Eingusskerne (115) herstellen lassen, an welchen der Impfmittelkörper (120) sicher befestigt ist, wird ein Verfahren vorgeschlagen, welche die nachfolgenden Schritte umfasst:
a) das Einbringen des Impfmittelkörpers (120) in einen Kernkasten (150);
b) das Einfüllen des Formmaterials in den Kernkasten (150), wobei der Impfmittelkörper (120) von dem Formmaterial teilweise eingebettet wird;
c) das Aushärten des Formmaterials.

Advantageously, the panels remain free of fasteners or other protrusions, thereby facilitating removal of the apparatus from the vessel after the lining has hardened.

This precision centering is maintained while mold sand is pored into the flask and compacted. The cope mold comprising the flask and the hardened sand is stripped from the stool for subsequent mating with a drag mold made in a similar manner but with the drag stool having locator pins secured in its top surface and the locator bushings provided in the drag flask. As with the cope mold making procedure, the drag flask is precisely cantered relative to the drag pattern by linearly moving the drag flask to take up clearance between the centering pins and the centering bushing, in the drag with the displacement mechanism. The flask displacement mechanisms for the cope snd drag are low mass pneumatically actuated units attached to the stools that effectively provides the flask displacement force while allowing bolting and mold sand compacting without adversely affecting mold making machine balance.
