CONSTITUTION: A resin film 6 is formed on a substrate 1 and a dyeing mask 7 is formed through coating of photo resist, exposure through the mask and developing. Next, the non-mask portions of the film 6 are dyed and rinsed, after which the resin surfaces of the colored portions are modified to have chemical resistnace by aqueous solution processing of tannic acid and acetic acid, potassium antimonyl tartrate aqueous solution processing, rinsing and drying. Thereafter, the mask 7 is removed, whereby the coloring stripes 8 for the first color are formed. The similar processes are repeated to yield the stripe filter composed of 3 colors of highly chemical resistant red, green and blue. If necessary, a protection film 3 is provieded thereon. Thereby, the resistance to adhesives used for affixing to thin plate glass in particular is improved.
