CONSTITUTION: Piezo-electric high polymer film 1a having pyroelectric effects is used as detector element 1 of a fire detector, and electrodes 1b and 1c are provided on the surface and the reverse face of this film 1a respectively. Detector circuit 2 is connected between electrodes 1b and 1c, and source follower circuit 3 provided with resistances 3a and 3b and FET 3c is provided in circuit 2. Then, a constitution where a current generated between electrodes 1b and 1c is detected by circuit 3 is given, and switching circuit 5 is operated by the output of amplifier circuit 4 when the current is over a prescribed current, and fire occurrence is alarmed by speaker 7.
