CONSTITUTION: Water 1 is put into an water tank 2 and strongly heated by a heater 3. When the water 1 starts boiling, steam 5 collides with a pyroelectric steam sensor 4 and heat is applied. The pyroelectric steam sensor 4, which receives a rapid temperature change, generates a polarization current by a pyroelectric effect and the polarization current can be taken out as a voltage value by short-circuit resistance. A controller 6 executes control such as to switch the heating of the heater 3 to heat insulation in correspondence to the signal and to send the hot water through an emitting pipe 7 to a filter basket 8, etc. When the hot water is sent to coffee powder prepared in the filter basket 8, the hot water is filtered and coffee liquid 9 can be obtained. The pyroelectric steam sensor 4 is equipped with seramic 13, for which electrodes 11 and 12 are provided, and a lead part 14 to be led out from a pair of the Ag electrodes 11 and 12 on a heat transfer board body 10. Then, for preventing humidity, the surface of a pyroelectric element is covered with a coat agent such as silicone, etc.
