1 to the video signal before being amplified by Tr24. On the other hand, Tr28, diode 29 and the resistance constitute the clamp circuit and Tr28 turns ON by a clamp pulse from terminal 31 in the flyback interval except the video interval, so that the video signal from Tr24 will be clamped to the ground potential, i.e. the pure-white level. Consequently, the gradation of a video signal can be expressed with fidelity to the density of a recording picture and a field can be also prevented from smudging.
