For the component wire for the braid 6 a shape memory alloy whose raw material is a material (l) having martensitic transformation temperature Ms higher than the ordinary temperature, which is elongated in advance by 2-20% in a martensitic phase. An appropriately flame--resisting sheath 7 is further applied onto the braid to complete a cable.
