Thus a drop-out part or undesired part of a linear pattern is corrected, and the desired cut-out line data is extracted and written to the memory 7. With such cut-line data stored in the memory 7, a cut-out mask is produced by reading out the cut-out line data and supplying it to a plotter 10.
