CONSTITUTION: Output data for indicating the X and Y moving directions of a pen from a computer 1 is held by a control instruction latch 2, and the output data of the moving destination of the pen is held by a moving destination address latch 3. An output value of the latch 3 is subtracted from a counter value of an X-Y counter 6, by a subtracter 7. This output value shows an extent of movement. A moving clock frequency of the pen is switched by the output value of the subtracter 7. A clock switching device 8 selects one of clock signals generated by an oscillator 9 and a frequency divider 10, by the control signal concerned, and counts a clock by the counter 6. Subsequently, when its value becomes same as a value of the latch 3 by a comparator 5, the clock signal is stopped, and a signal informing that movement of the pen has been completed is sent to the computer 1. In this regard, 11 denotes an X-Y recorder.
