CONSTITUTION: The output of a vehicular speed sensor 100 is converted at an F/V converter circuit 10 to a DC voltage in proportion to the frequency of vehicular speed pulse signal and the converter DC voltage is compared at a voltage comparator circuit 30 with the reference voltage corresponding to a gear position change speed. A D flip flop 40 memorizes the output of said circuit 30, which drives a solenoid 60 for controlling speed change through a drive circuit 50. In this case, if the vehicular speed pulse signal is interrupted, the output of the comparator circuit 30 just before the interruption is memorized by the D flip flop 40. In addition, the lowering of the vehicular speed signal in the converter circuit 10 is prohibited by a monitoring means including a watch dog timer 80 and a R/S flip flop 90. And, when the vehicular speed pulse signal resets, the output of the D flip flop 40 is sent to the drive circuit 50.
