CONSTITUTION: A microcomputer 24 is provided with a relative position detecting means 14, an absolute position detecting means 18 and the like and a running distance sensor 10, an earth magnetism sensor 12 and a keyboard 30 are connected to the means 14 while an antenna 28 to the means 18. The means 14 uses signals of sensors 10 and 12 in a p-q rectangular coordinate system with the initial position from the keyboard 30 as origin to calculate the relative position. Then, the means 18 calculates the absolute position of a vehicle on the x-y rectangular coordinate system from absolute position information of a fixed station from the antenna 28, a radio wave incoming angle and the resulting relative position. Moreover, a correction constant calculating means 20 calculates the correction constant from the position calculated by the normal inertial navigation and the absolute position with the means 18. The constant thus obtained is used to calculate the current position with the means 14 and the results are shown on a CRT 32.
