Here, the waste oil can be solidified satisfactorily by heating the oil beforehand to the melting temp. of the wax or higher temp. then adding the wax or heating the oil to the melting temp. of the wax or higher temp. after adding the wax to the waste oil. There are animal wax, vegetable wax, mineral wax, low mol.wt. PE, etc. for the above-described wax. The quantity of the wax. to be added is usually ≥3wt%, more preferably ≥5wt%.
