CONSTITUTION: A clear film-forming paste is obtained by incorporating an organocerium compd. (e.g., cerium trisacetylacetonate), an organozinc compd., (e.g., zinc octoate), a tackifier (e.g., cellulose compd.), and an org. solvent dissolving said three components (e.g., butyl cellosolve). The total content of the organocerium compd. and the organozinc compd. in said paste is pref. 2W30wt%. By subjecting said paste to screen printing on substrates such as glass or ceramics and baking at a temp. of about 400°C or higher, a clear film of cerium oxide/zinc oxide is formed into a desired pattern.
