A handrail body 22 is integrally manufactured from metal pipes, etc., by erecting a plurality of handrails 26 on a top beam 24 parallel to the bridgeboard crossbeams 16 and installing a plurality of installation arms 28. Further, an installation plate 32 having a hook part 34 is fixed on the installation arm 28 through welding structure. After the staircase 12 is fixed on a building, the handrail body 22 is mounted on the bridgeboard crossbeam 16 by using the hook part 34 of the installation plate 32, and fixed on the installation arm 28 by installation bolts 36. Accordingly, the handrail body 22 can be fixation-erected on the bridgeboard crossbeams 16 through the installation arm 28 in simple manner.
