An optional figure among 1∼99 is set to the counter 8 by using digital switches 6, 7, the number of ringing in 16Hz from the monostable multivibrator 3 is counted, a set figure is subtracted and when the content of the counter 8 reaches 0, a transistor (TR)14 is turned on to activate a relay Y-1 causing a contact y
1-1 to be switched over. The incoming call activates a relay Y-2 via the ringing circuit 20 of an automatic answering telephone set TAD to close a contact y
2-1 , and form a closing circuit. A response is transmitted from a tape T-1,and a tape T-2 records the opposite voice. When the caller hangs up, it is detected by a photocoupler 2 to turn off the TR14, and release the relay Y-1.
