The preceeding value GE is conpensated and transformed in an atmosphere temperature by multiplication 10 of an atmosphere temperature conpensation coefficient which is derived from the atmosphere temperature Ta in a function generator 11, and then sent to an adder 17. A drum saturation temperature is determined in a function generator 12 on the basis of a drum pressure Pd and a difference toward a feed water temperature Te at the exit of the economizer is found by subtraction 13. The value which is found through PID calculation of the above obtained value and said preceeding value are added together 17 to find a differential signal.
