CONSTITUTION: The objective composition contains a mixture of (A) an insecticidal toxin produced by Bacillus thuringensis and useful as an agricultural and horticultural insecticide having high safety and absolutely free from the problem of the development of resistant species and (B) a cartap salt [= a salt of 1,3-bis(carbamoylthio)-2-(N,N-dimethylamino)propane] such as the compound of formula which is a synergist exhibiting high controlling effect even against resistant vermin comparable to the controlling effect against sensitive vermin and effective for the control of vermin of a wide variety of agricultural and horticultural crops.
EFFECT: A rapid insecticidal effect can be attained against a lepidopterous insect harmful to agricultural and horticultural crops, e.g. larva of diamondback moth, etc., to enable the stable culture of agricultural and horticultural crops.
