PROCESS: A compound of formula II is reacted with a compound of formula II (Y is O or S) to give a compound of formula IV, which is then subjected to the ring closure in the presence of a base to afford a compound of formula V. The resultant compound of formula V is reacted with a compound of formula VI (Z is halogen) in the presence of a base.
