CONSTITUTION: An acaricide containing a compound expressed by formula I (X is H, dimethylamino or nitro; R
1 is H, halogen or methylcarbamoyl; R

3 are lower alkyl or phenyl) as an active constituent. The compound expressed by formula I is obtained readily by reacting aluminum chloride with a mixture solution of a secondary amine with a nitrile under heating, decomposing the formed aluminum complex with an inorganic acid, and treating the decomposed complex with a strong alkaline agent. The compound expressed by formula II has a particularly high acaricidal activity.
