CONSTITUTION: The picture data are stored in a picture memory 1 and then read out to a display control circuit 4 through a picture reading circuit 2. While the outputs of an address setting circuit 6, a magnification ratio setting circuit 7 and a magnified picture element number setting circuit 8 are applied to a magnification reading circuit 3 connected to the memory 1. Then a partial picture is read out of the memory 1 to the circuit 4 based on the outputs of circuits 6W8. These circuits 6W8 are controlled by an external input circuit 9 and the circuit 4 display the original picture out of the circuit 2 and the magnified picture read out of the circuit 3 at a time. Then the zoom/roll control is given to the magnified picture by the operation of an input device. Thus it is possible to decrease the number of picture memories and to improve the partial magnifying function.
